The two exited the building and began walking down the street, back in the direction of his house. The two walked silently for a while before Arya broke the silence.
"You know what you did for me, it was really sweet," she spoke.
"Hmm?" he spoke, looking towards her.
"You don't have to do all of this, help me, let me stay with you, everything, you don't have to do it," she spoke.
Peter smiled, he couldn't help but swoon for the girl, the way she spoke gave him hope for them, "Course I do,"
Arya smiled, "My god you're too humble," she spoke, shaking her head.
Peter wore a proud smirk as they continued walking.
...
When the two arrived back at the home of Peter, the couple sat on the couch, Peter turning the tv on.
The two sat silently for a while, watching the tv before Arya spoke up, "I know you've probably told me about you but since I don't remember, tell me about you?,"
Peter smiled slightly, nodding, he began to tell Arya what he had previously once told her. About his childhood, his family, Gwen, everything.
Arya listened to the whole thing, not missing a word, the way Peter had done for her.
The two spoke for what seemed like hours, just listening to one another. Arya felt like she had known him forever, like she never wanted this moment to end.
...
Before the two knew it, it became dark outside.
Arya turned towards the boy, deciding she'd get ready for sleep, "Where's your shower?" she asked before standing up, Peter doing the same.
"Yeah, of course, follow me," he told the girl, leading out of the room towards the shower.
The two arrived at the shower, Peter opened the door for her, "I'll get you some more clothes, I might be able to find some of Gwen's" He told her before leaving the room.
When Peter re-arrived in the room he held one of his t-shirts and a pair of Gwens shorts, "Here you go, I'll be in my room if you need me,"
Arya smiled fondly at the boy, "Thank you Peter"
"Of course," he spoke, leaving her alone to shower.
...
When Arya emerged from the shower half an hour later, she put her wet hair into a bun that sat upon her head. She decided to head to Peter's room to say goodnight.
She walked to his room, leaning in the doorway. Peter was sat on his bed, reading a book.
"I'm heading to bed," she spoke, grabbing the attention of the boy.
Peter looked up towards her, gave her a small smile and a nod, "Me too, goodnight Arya,"
"goodnight Peter," she smiled
"I'll be in here if you need me"
Arya gave him a thumbs up before heading back to the guest room she had slept in the previous night. She climbed into the bed, laying her head on the soft pillow and letting out a soft exhale. she couldn't help but let her mind drift to Peter, she didn't know why but she couldn't get her mind off him.
Little did she know, neither could he.
...
Arya didn't know how long it had been but when she couldn't fall asleep she turned to check the clock that was sat on the bedside table. Her eyes widened a bit as the clock was shown at 1 AM.
Arya let out a soft sigh, she decided she'd go grab some water from the kitchen. When she eventually arrived in the kitchen she was slightly surprised to see Peter standing at the counter. As she got a bit closer she turned Scarlett red, Peter stood in the kitchen, his shirt off, his chest on complete view for Arya to stare at.
Arya stared for a moment, she was completely flustered.
"Arya? What are you doing awake?" She heard Peter ask, his attention on her. Of course, he saw her eyes on his chest but he wasn't gonna mention it.
Arya turned an even deeper red, although it was dark and dim in the kitchen, "couldn't sleep, what are you doing up?" she asked walking over to him, standing in front of the shirtless boy.
"couldn't sleep either," he spoke, looking down at the short girl.
Arya nodded, the two could feel the tension thick between them. The couple stood there silently, each of the two stealing glances at the lips of the other
"Peter?,"
"hmm," he hummed in response, glancing down towards her lips.
"Did you really get me this necklace?" she asked, moving even closer to him holding up the necklace for him to see.
Peter leaned down to look at the necklace despite the fact he knew perfectly what he looked like, "I did," he nodded. "Do you like it?," he asked, his voice quiet, almost a whisper.
Arya was incredibly flustered, his face was right in front of hers, "yeah.." she stuttered, flustered, "yeah I like it,"
"Mmm good, that's good," he spoke, glancing from her lips to her eyes, he didn't know whether to kiss her or not, he could feel the tension between them he was just worried he'd ruin things.
Arya stared up at him, she wondered the same the boy did, was he going to kiss her? Or just stand there? She didn't even know what she wanted, or maybe she did.
Peter shook his head before shaking his thoughts and closing the distance between the two.
Arya melted back into the kiss, it felt right, it felt familiar. She didn't know why she kissed back, she decided to blame it on her fatigue.
The two stood in the kitchen, Peter's hand on her cheek, Arya's hand on his bare chest.
Peter was the first to pull away, still holding the girl, "mm sorry," he whispered.
Arya shook her head, pulling the boy back to her, she decided to blame her boldness on the early hour, pulling the boy back into a kiss.
Peter smiled proudly into the girl's lips. The couple continued like this for what felt like an hour before the two pulled away.
"Goodnight Peter,"
