EIGHTEEN; Her Over Me

Even if the Suns and Moons were loafers when it came to studies, still they tried to score enough to get promoted to the next semester. Coming from affluent families, most of them had a reputation to take care of.

Bluffing her way through the two hours long exam paper, Sihmin exits the examination hall feeling contended. She just wished for the rest of the papers to go by quickly. Inattentive of her surroundings, she ends up running into her arch enemy.

"Way to ruin the mood." Snapping out of her dreamland, Sihmin mumbles in grimace. Nori raises a brow, not being able to hear her clearly.

"Good that I found you here. I had something to discuss with you." Sihmin points at Nori then at herself with wide eyes.

"I don't think there's anything to discuss between us. So leave my way before I kick your ass back to your department." Sihmin snarks and begins to move but Nori grasps her wrist tightly causing the former to flinch.

"Don't try to over smart me, bitvh! I know what you're doing. Trying to play with two guys at the same time, involving my best friend in your shit as well. I'm warning you Lee Sihmin, stop being a slvt and try to focus on your own relationship before I tear it to pieces." Nori threatens Sihmin and shoves her aside.

Sihmin regains her balance and raises her hand to hit Nori but before she could do so, Nori falls down on her own and places a hand on her left cheek.

"What the fu-" "Yah! Lee Sihmin!" Upon hearing the roaring voice, Sihmin turns around and comes face to face with the two guys she least expected to see together in her department.

Then it clicks in her mind how Nori made her look like the 'bad guy' in front of the boys.

"Why did you hit her?" Junkyu asks, outraged upon seeing the kind of behavior directed towards his girlfriend. Meanwhile Haruto approaches Nori and helps her to get up.

"Junkyu, I didn't-" "Now you're lying too, huh? We saw it with our own eyes. What has gotten into you, Mina? You should be ashamed of yourself." Bumping her shoulder with his own, Junkyu takes a hold of Nori's hand and drags her with him leaving a bewildered Sihmin behind.

Taking a deep breath, she faces Haruto to clear herself but the boy beats her to it.

"While making the deal, I made it clear that we wouldn't use violence for our own fvcking purposes. You failed to keep your words, Lee. I didn't know you would stoop this low." Hearing Haruto's harsh tone after so long, Sihmin cringes internally. It was as if they were back to square one.

"Haruto listen to me! I swear, I didn't hit her. Haruto!" Dismissing her calls, he leaves her alone in the deserted corridor the same way her best friend did a few minutes ago, all because of Moon Nori.

Sihmin's heart shatters into pieces once she realizes that Haruto and Junkyu chose Nori over her.

Evening

Sihmin throws a pebble into the lake and waits for the plop sound. She keeps on repeating the process while her mind wanders off to the commotion that happened in her department.

"Where did it all go wrong? Damn it!" She curses herself for being naive enough to fall for Nori's petty scheme.

"You're pathetic, Lee Sihmin. Nobody loves you. Nobody likes you." Sihmin pouts, feeling blue out of the sudden.

"But I like you." "Huh!" The unexpected presence startles Sihmin causing her to lose her balance.

"Be careful!" Before she could fall in the water, Yoshi catches her by the arm, bringing her to an abrupt halt.

"You almost killed me there." Disdaining Sihmin's glares, Yoshi helps her to stand on her feet.

"Didn't mean to scare you, just wanted to talk." He scratches his nape, sheepishly.

"How did you find me?" Sihmin questions in wonder.

"Jaehyuk told us once that you come here everytime you feel sad or lonely." He replies sitting down on a rock.

"Aish! That hoe deserv- wait a minute, how did you know I was sad or lonely?" Sihmin squints her eyes in suspicion.

"Actually, I saw what happened at your department today so I assumed you must be feeling that way." He takes her silence as a cue to continue.

"I was passing by and over heard Nori and your's conversation. Curiosity got the best of me so I decided to see what was happening. I know you didn't hit Nori. Infact it was Nori who pushed you. I also saw how Junkyu and Haruto accused you. With that I also came to know abou- about your deal with Haruto." Sihmin stares at him, wide eyed.

"We're busted, Watanabe fvcking Haruto." She thinks but quickly regains her composure.

"I hope you didn't spill the beans to anyone or I'm gonna cut your tongue off." Pointing her index finger at him, Sihmin tries to scare him off but to her dismay it was Yoshinori of Moons standing in front of her. He grabs her finger and twist it a little.

"Yah! Lee Sihmin, I'm older than you. Be respectful to me at least otherwise-" "Are you threatening me?" Yanking his hand off her finger, she inquires.

"Yes, I am. So be polite with me and call me oppa." He folds his arms, showing off the upper hand he had in the situation.

"Pfffttt. Oppa? Dream on. I don't even call Sukkie, Junkyu or Jaehyuk oppa." Sihmin sarcastically replies but sighs in defeat once she sees Yoshi raising a brow with authority.

"Okay fine but I'm not calling you oppa. Please Mister Yoshi, be the soul of discretion and keep our secret to yourself." She requests with half heartedness.

"I wasn't even gonna tell anyone in the first place." Yoshi snickers while Sihmin ignores him, spacing out once again. Her heart was constantly aching aches because of the morning's incident.

"Nori did you wrong. I apologize on her behalf. But don't be dispirited because of her, it doesn't suit you." Catching onto the atmosphere quickly, Yoshi passes her a subtle smile.

"Then what does exactly suit me?" Yoshi was one of those members who weren't close to Sihmin yet. So it intrigued her to know what Moons thought of her.

"Bickering with every other person." Yoshi replies her with a snort.

"Yah! How dare you?" Sihmin punches his shoulder causing the boy to squeal in pain.

"Haha a weakling!" She continues to quarrel with him, forgetting about her worries even if it was for a little while. Little did Sihmin know, she ended up having a reliable friend by her side.
