"We should take her for a trip."

"Or an outing perhaps, trip would take too long."

"Let's just surprise her at her house."

"Let's discuss it with Junkyu first, then make a decision all together."

"Why are all of you preparing for Nori's birthday only?" Upon hearing Sihmin's question, the four Moon boys shut up instantly.

She didn't have a lecture so she ended up going to the Sun and Moon's den which was apparently already occupied. Jihoon raises his brow, unable to get what she meant.

"I mean, Haruto's birthday falls before her. Shouldn't we plan something for him too?" Mashiho, Yoshi and Jihoon's faces fall upon hearing her question so Asahi decides to speak up.

"He doesn't like to celebrate his birthday." He replies nonchalantly.

"Wha- but why?" Sihmin asks with a frown.

"His grandma died two days before his birthday. They were quite close. Since her death, he doesn't like the idea of celebrating his day." Asahi clears up.

"And we don't insist him either. We just wish him over the texts." Mashiho adds, shrugging.

"That's sad." Sihmin mutters, pondering about Haruto's sentiments.

"He must've been close to her." She thinks to herself.

"And bad as well. I want to throw a birthday bash for him as well." Jihoon pouts, voicing out his wish.

"Don't get troubled much. It's his decision anyway. Let's respect it." Yoshi advises to which all of the boys agree.

Catching them off guard, Haruto walks in the room, the exact moment they finish discussing about him.

"Think of the devil." Asahi snorts causing the other three except Sihmin to chuckle.

Once Haruto's eyes land on Sihmin, he makes his way towards her, maintaining a stoic expression. Sihmin looks at him, perturbed. She didn't feel like talking to him after their small talk over the call. Her feelings were still all over the place.

"Why weren't you answering my calls or texts?" He questions causing everyone around the room to stop momentarily. After taking a look around, he holds Sihmin's hand and drags her out.

"Ruto, wait!" She shrieks, trying to steady herself. Entering an empty classroom nearby, Haruto shuts the door while Sihmin pants, still shaky.

"Do you even have any idea, how worried I was? The last thing you did was hanging up the phone on me while crying. After that you didn't even bother to call or at least text me back." After running a hand through his hair, he begins to scold the girl.

"It's not that big of a deal-" "Big of a deal? Are you insane? I was this close to rushing to your house to see if you're okay or not." He pinches air with his fingers, taking another step towards her.

"Who told you to worry about me? Mind I remind you, we're not a real couple. So don't trouble yourself for what I feel just like everyone else doesn't." Ending her sentence with a scoff, she looks the other way not wanting to meet his gaze.

Her legs were wobbly and her heart rate was speeding up. The reason behind it was quite clear to her by now; Haruto's nearness added to the tension surrounding them.

Meantime, Haruto's eyes soften after listening to her words. Leaning towards her, he holds her by the shoulders, causing the girl to look up at him.

"Lee Sihmin, you don't have to be in a relation with someone to care about them. Besides ain't we friends already?" This time he asks more politely. His eyes gleaming with an emotion which was hard to decipher for Sihmin.

"I thought we were supposed to be enemies." She whispers in return. Being his friend didn't sound bad to her at all, but she was still unsure of what she truly wanted.

"Our enmity completely came to an end the day you stopped calling me Watanabe." Sudden realization washes over Sihmin and her cheeks begin to redden. Haruto chuckles, liking the way she got affected by his words.

"Now spill what's on your mind?" Haruto felt like embracing the saddened girl but didn't for his own sanity.

"I'm scared to lose what I have right now." She mumbles. Haruto squeezes her shoulder, making the girl continue.

"No matter how much I want to break Junkyu and Nori apart, I dread the thought of Moons and Suns clashing once again. Nothing's making sense to me. I'm confused." She whines to him as if he was the reason behind her concerns. Well, he partially was but Sihmin wasn't gonna tell that to him any time soon.

One thing she never did was getting back on her words. But at this point, she was afraid to stand by them. Haruto gazes into her eyes. Her thoughts amusing him.

"If fate have decided to unbind Junkyu and Nori, then it'll do so with or without our intervention. And if not, then there's nothing we can do. At the end, we'll be with whom we're meant to be. Same goes for Suns and Moons. Don't sweat it and go with the flow." He advises and ruffles her hair.

Right at the moment, Seeun barges in the room followed by an amused Yedam and a grumpy Jaehyuk causing Haruto and Sihmin to distance themselves in surprise.

"We've been looking for both of you for so long and here you're, doing unholy things." Seeun smirks, trying to pull the couple's leg. After sharing a glance, Sihmin and Haruto clear their throats simultaneously, ready to rebut any kind of ridiculous allegations.

A Week Later

"I'm sorry Kyu but I don't think I'll be able to make it to the birthday party." Sihmin apologizes, feeling bad for rejecting Junkyu's invite to Nori's surprise event.

"You can't, but why?" Junkyu queries with a pout.

"You know it's Haruto's birthday as well. I'm gonna spend the day with him." She responds firmly.

She had decided to do this after having the brief conversation with the Moons. Happy or not, she wanted to try and make Haruto's birthday special for him. She was determined on helping him get over the grief which was holding him back.

"I knew it was a bad idea to throw Nori's bash on Haruto's birthday. Guess we should postpone the party." Junkyu second guesses the plan after listening to her.

The surprise party had to be brought forward by Haruto's birthday cause Junkyu was going with his father to Jeju for business purposes the very next day, coming back after a week of Nori's birthday. Haruto didn't have any problem with the surprise but he didn't feel like attending either.

"No, no, don't. Who knows how long you'll have to stay in Jeju? Just make Nori happy and go without any worries." Sihmin pats his shoulder, not wanting to ruin the party mood both of the groups were in.
