His car drives like a dream, I might as well consider getting one for myself. The moment I saw we were in Brooklyn I knew where we were going. As soon as I park the car I hop off the car, and tell Aiden to get the pizza. It's incredible how with food and being in one of my favorite places with my favorite people can change my mood. My cheek still burns but by now it's not on the top of my worries.
"Honey, I'm home," I say as soon as I open the door of the cafe with a smile on my face. My mood just got a whole lot better.
"Valentina is that you?" I hear Sam ask before walking through the doors that lead to the back. "What are you doing here this late?" I hear the door open behind me and I look back at Aiden with a small smile. He looks at Sam and doesn't look very pleased.
"Can't I visit you, now? I thought it was the whole point," I say approaching the counter. As soon as he sees my face his expression darkens. "What the fuck happened to your face?"
"Nothing, it's no big deal," I say, brushing it off.
"Were you fighting again? Or do I have to get Mark? Do we have to beat someone up?" He says in a sigh that makes me smirk. I love my friends.
"Don't worry I already handled it," Aiden says looking at Sam. Sam's eyes turn to Aiden, and they just stand there staring at each other. While looking at eachother Sam calls for Angela, "Babe, Valentina is here,"
I clear my throat uncomfortable from the little staring battle that's going on. Minutes later Angela finally decides on walking through the door, "thank god, there's too much testosterone in the room,"
"Hon what are you-" Angela starts to ask but stops when she sees my face, "did you get in another fight again?" she asks, resigned too. "And what's with the outfit?" she says looking down at my dress.
"Why the hell does everyone think I got in a fight? I haven't fought anyone in years," Sam finally looks away from Aiden and gives me a hard stare and so does Angela, "Fine like months, and we were in the December charity event."
"Oh right, today is the first." She says, mixing the information together. "So, what happened to your face?" I look to my side at Aiden who is looking down at me with curiosity in his eyes. "I just bumped into something," I tell them.
Now Aiden is the one who clears his throat, "Oh right. Guys this is Aiden, Aiden this is Angela," I say nudging my head towards her, "and her husband Sam. This is their cafe," I tell him as I go behind the bar to grab some juices for us to eat with the pizza.
Aiden gives them a nod, and I just stare at him so that he gets the hint to say something, "Nice to meet you," he eventually says, finally getting the hint. Angela turns to me with a smirk and I already know where this is going, "Don't start it's been a long night," I tell her, settling for two lemondes and two orange juices, I don't know exactly what he drinks.
"I was just going to say he's hot," She says shrugging. Sam gives her a look, and she whispers, "what I still have eyes,"
"Anyways, could we maybe use the terrace?" I ask, extending my hand for the key.
"Sure," Sam says, opening the counter and handing me the key. He goes behind his wife wrapping his hands in her belly, a habit he's come to have since she got pregnant.
"Come on," I tell Aiden, nudging him to the stairs that are set to the side.
"Have fun!" Angela screams, and I look back at her and roll my eyes.

As soon as I opened the door, I saw the New York Skyline, all the lights, contrasting with the dark sky, the noises of the city, so loud yet so peaceful. The terrace is beautiful. It has a lot of sitting area and a little kiosk with a fireplace and couches between it. So I walk to it so we can sit and eat.
