ASTRA'S HEAD ACHED. Her ears rang, and her body was sore. She stifled a small moan as she tried to lift her head, weak and tired.

"Sam?"

She opened her eyes and waited for them to focus. As they did, she looked around to see where she was. She was inside of a warehouse, dark and abandoned.

Her heart sank in her chest as she began remembering the events from the night before. She panicked and tried to move, but she couldn't.

She was restrained to a chair. Her wrists and her ankles were tied down to the chair, keeping her still against her will.

"Hello!" Astra shouted. "Is someone there?"

Astra jumped as a loud bang echoed through the warehouse, rattling her body. She watched as the man appeared, and her body stiffened.

It was him. It was the man from the night she fell to earth.

He walked towards her and she leaned farther back in the chair.

"It's you." She said. "What do you want from me?"

He stopped before her and stuffed his hands into his pockets. "I want answers."

She stared up at him. "Screw you."

Astra yelped as the man smacked her hard on the cheek, causing her head to snap to the side. She blinked several times as her cheek stung from the impact. She stared up at him with gritted teeth.

"I don't know what you are, but I know you don't walk this earth like the rest of us." He said. "And I'm gonna find out, alien. Do you want to know why? Because if I prove you to be what you are, I'm gonna be the richest man on this shit planet. I'm gonna find out what you are."

Her chest tightened as she shook her head. "You were drunk and you were seeing things. All of this after you tried to rape me!"

He grinned as he leaned down, his faces inches from her own. "Don't call it rape. . . It was more like . . . A probing."

Without hesitation, Astra spit on the man's face. He stepped away and wiped his cheek, grimacing.

"You just want to suffer." He said. He pulled a phone out of his pocket, holding it to his ear. "And you will."

In Sioux Falls, Sam and Jody sat inside of her office at the Sheriff's Station while they spread the word to other hunters about Astra's abduction. While the hunters spread the information to others, Jody and Sam began tracking the van.

"All right, Sam, what's the plate number?"

Sam pulled up the image Claire had sent him of the license plate. Jody copied it and typed it into her computer, waiting.

2010 Chevy Express, grey and rusted." Jody told Sam. "The driver is a fugitive. Richard Smith. He's been arrested for two DUI's, one sexual assault charge and three for bar-fighting."

"And this guy isn't in jail anymore?" Sam asked.
"His last sentence was two years ago."

He shook his head. "All right, can we get a location on the van?"

"I'm working on it."

They waited another minute, and when the computer beeped, they focused their eyes on the screen.

Sam scoffed. "You've got to be kidding me. Lake Michigan?"

"They must've dumped the van there. That doesn't mean they're still there."

Sam shook his head. "You know what? We can track her phone. She's got one of Dean's. It's already got a tracking gps on it."

"Might still be in the system." Jody mentioned. Sam typed in the number, and surely enough, Astra's location appeared.

"Muskegon."

"All right, I'm gonna head out."
"Hold on, Sam. We don't know how many of them are there, and if they know we've found them. If they know, it could be a trap. I'll call the girls and I'll call Donna and Bobby. They'll help."

"I can't ask that of you, Jody. Astra's my responsibility, and I can't let them. . ." Sam shook his head at the thought. "I've already lost too much."

Jody placed her hand on Sam's arm. "You won't lose her. We won't let that happen, do you hear me?"

Clenching his jaw, Sam nodded.

Astra was fighting exhaustion the more it crept on her. She was bleeding from somewhere on her face, and her lip had busted at the corner from being hit.

She sat in the chair and watched as the men before her sat around, waiting for orders. One man sat with a rifle resting against his knee, while another slept.

The man from that night appeared, and he walked into her view with a man in a white jacket.

"Meet my buddy here. He's a doctor, and he's gonna help me figure out what you are."

The doctor placed a case on the table and opened it to reveal different needles and tools. Astra stared at the case, and her stomach churned.

"You're crazy." She said. "You're all crazy!"

She choked on a sob as the man gripped her jaw and forced her mouth shut. The harder he squeezed, the more tears fell.

"I'm not crazy, you are."

Astra watched as the doctor walked towards her and raised a scalpel to the skin of her collarbone. As he dragged the blade across the flesh, Astra released a scream as her skin stung. The doctor examined the blood, staring intently.

"Blood is a normal color." He said. "I'll take the samples now."

She sat there weakly as the doctor grabbed an empty IV bag and a needle.

"You want to gag her, Richard?"

Richard pulled the bandana free from his jacket and walked towards Astra. She grunted as he tied it tightly around her head, gagging her. She screamed into the gag as she watched the doctor walk towards her.

Cuffing his hand around her forearm, the doctor injected the tube into Astra's skin, and she screamed. She had lost enough blood and was about to lose more.

Sam and Jody drove in the Impala with the others following behind. They reached the end of the night, and Sam began to worry about Astra's life. It had been thirty hours since she was taken, and he had no idea if she was alive.

"Location's still the same, they're either decked out in that warehouse or dumped her phone there."

Sam shook his head. "She's got to be there."

"We're gonna get her back, Sam."

He tightened his grip on the wheel of the Impala. "I know."

When Astra's eyes opened, she was weaker than before. She tipped her head back slowly as the ringing in her ears intensified, staring at the blood that traveled to the IV bag. It was almost half way full of her blood.

"I can begin the slides, I have enough for a few samples." The doctor said, replacing the bag. He walked towards the scope on the table and dropped the blood on different slides before placing them beneath the microscope. Richard stared at the pale woman.

"This bitch got me caught that night." He said. "That guy almost killed me because of her."

The doctor shook his head as he replaced each slide. "This doesn't make sense."

"What doesn't make sense?"

He looked up at Richard. "Richard, this blood is clean. O-Negative blood."

Richard took a step forward and gritted his teeth. "What the hell are you saying?"

The doctor looked up at him.

"I'm saying she's human."
