Newsies One Shots

You are walking back to the lodging house after a full day of selling. You just finished selling your last paper and the strike had been settled around 3 months ago. Life was good, being the only girl Newsie all those boys treated you like a little sister. Even though you had your eye on the one and only Davey. He had always been super cute to you and there had always been more than just a brother sibling kinda bond. Now Crutchie on the other hand was your best friend and you could tell him anything. As for Jack he was the most like a brother to you out of all the Newsies and was definitely the most overprotective.  

While walking back to the lodging house you hear someone following you. You look behind you and you see the Delancey brothers.

"What do you want?"

"Oh you know exactly what I want y/n" 

They both creep around you and Oscar buts his hand on your waist and Morris places his hands on your face and kisses you. You push him away and Oscar pins you to the ground and Morris kicks you in the stomach and in the shin. They run away and leave you alone. You curl up in a ball on the street crying. 

It feels like hours have past when you hear soemone walk up to you. 

"Y/n, what happened are you okay." Says Race 

You grab him in a hug and sob. He carries you back to the lodge house where the rest of the boys are. 

"Y/n what happened to her Race?" Says Jack 

"I don't know all I know is I found her curled up in the street holding her stomach and crying." "When she saw me she hugged me and cried and I carried her nback here." "She won't tell me anything." 

"Crutchie." Is all you say 

"What is it y/n." says Crutchie

"I want Crutchie." You say again 

Race hands you over to Crutchie and leads you to a room and shuts the door behind him giving you both privacy knowing that this is going to be a long story. 

"Y/n what happened are you okay?" Crutchie says taking your hand and having you sit in his lap. 

"The Delancey brothers." Is all you manage to say before crying again 

"Shhh it is okay what did they do to you?" 

"They...they...they pinned me down and Morris he..he..HE KISSED ME!" You start sobbing into Crutchie's neck while he holds you. 

"Y/n did they do anything else to you?"

"They pushed me and kicked me in the stomach and shin and then ran away." "Crutchie they stole my first kiss." "It was supposed to be perfect with the most perfect boy in the whole world." 

"Instead it was with Morris." 

"Y/n you didn't kiss back so it doesn't count I promise." "You will one day have the most perfect boy and the most perfect kiss ever I promise you that." 

"Really, you think so?"

"I know so, in fact I can even bet I know who it will be with."

You look up at him with a confused face.

"Who?"

"A certain newesie you have had your eye on for a while." "Not to mention he has a cute little brother as well." You bliush realizing he knows about your massive crush on Davey.

"He doesn't even like me." You mumble against his neck 

"Oh I dought that." "Know how about we go tell the boys what happened they want to make sure your okay." 

"Okay..thank you for lisenting to me." Crutchie kisses your forhead and hugs you. 

"No problem you know your my goil." (I am trying to do his accent) You walk out to where the boys are and they all surrond you asking you if you are okay and what happened. 

"Boys back off she will tell ya everything just give a little time." Says Crutchie 

The boys back off and you go take a seat on the couch while they all sit down ready to listen to you. 

You finish the story tears streaming down your face and they all give you a hug. They all leave you alone to go get ready for bed but Davey stays behind.

"Y/n I am sorry that happened to you." 

"Thank you, but I am doing okay Crutchie told me I don't have to count that as my first kiss so I am not going to." 

"Well when do you wnat your first kiss?" 

"Um I don't know all I know is I wnat to have it with the most perfect boy ever." 

"Oh and who would that be?" 

"Um...just some newsie boy who happens to have a cute little brother." 

Davey realizies it is him and blushes. He grabs your chin and slowly brings his lips to yours and kisses you.  You melt into the kiss and he oulls away after what feels like forever and you giigle and hug Davey. 

You hear the boys cheering in the back after seeing what just happened. 

Jack walks up to Davey.

"I swear Jacobs if you heart her I will kill you." Davey gulps and nods while you roll your eyes at Jack. 

They boys leave you alone with Davey and soon you two fall alseep on the couch snuggled up together happiest you have been in a while.
