It was a really cloudy evening at the owl house and luz was learning about demons from king i was also "learning" from him but i already know about demons thanks to hooty but king looked happy and adorable explaining so i payed attention for his sake suddenly we heard thunder outside

"I love the rain! C'mon mirabel lets go!"

I walked towards the door luz was already outside hoping with excitement it starting raining but something was off i looked at some flowers nearby and they dissolved as the rain thouched them

"Um luz something is weird about this rai- but before i could finish my sentence eda came yelling as the rain started to pour boiling rain everyone get inside!! Eda yelled grabbing luz and pulling her inside i barely doged out of the way before eda and luz came crashing inside

"Is anyone hurt?"Eda said closing the door

"Uh i am" luz said showing some burns on her arm "oh here let me try to heal it" i offered ive been trying to do different types of magic and healing is one of them so something small like a burn is perfect practice!

I take luzs arm and do my best to heal it which i do! But i feel really tired after healing magic takes alot of energy while im healing luz eda puts up a big barrier around the house to protect it from the rain

"Hey eda why do people call you the owl lady anyway?" Luz says curiously

"Because im so wise" eda replies full of confidence

"Its because she coughs up rat bones" hooty says

"I think its because shes attracted to shiny objects" king replies

"I am not attracted to shiny objects"

"Oh yeah then whats this" king says pulling luzs light up pen from his hat

Edas eyes start to widen as she tries to take the pen from king

"It shimmers and shines i must take it for my nest!" she then tries to jump at king but he easily dodges as she falls to the ground

"Ugh that hurt man that barrier really took alot out of me" eda says getting up

"Wait since where going to be inside all night nows the perfect chance for eda to teach me magic!!" Luz says getting excited

"But what about our demon lesson?" King ask looking disappointed

"I promise we'll finish the lesson another time king" luz says giving him a big hug before following eda who was going inside the house

"Its ok king you can talk to me while luz takes some magic lessons" i reassured him

"Thanks Mirabel!" King said before jumping on my back as we followed luz inside as we walk inside i see luz using the light up pen as a bribe to get eda to teach her magic

Eda groans and then gets up and starts explaining how magic works i pay attention while rubbing kings belly because im also curious on how magic works

"Magic is dependent on the spell circle and the size of it the bigger the spell the bigger the circle now where do you magic comes from?" eda asked

"Um from the heart? Luz responds nervously"

"Actually yeah your right"

"Really!?"

"Kinda magic comes from a magic bile sac thats attached to a witches heart every witch has one including me and mirabel"

"Wow thats awsome but how am i going to do magic if i dont have a magic bile sac thingy"
