We were all in the living room watching as eda and owlbert were dead focused on there card game
That was a good move owlbert but this is the end! Eda says showing a card from her hand that causes owlberts cards to be destroyed
"Ha! In your adorable face! Ah victory feels fuzzy?"
"Um eda its happening again" i said pointing at her feathers were starting to grow out of her
"Uh oh ok gotta go get an elixir" she went to her chest that was usually full of her elixir but now there wasn't even a single bottle
"Uh oh this isn't good im out i gotta go to market to buy more c'mon you 3" she said towards me king and luz
She puts on her cloak and we all make our way to the market and towards the potions shop where eda usually gets her elixirs
"Morton! Open up!"
"Just a minute!" A voice inside said before the shutters on the shop opened and a skinny witch in yellow clothing poked his out
"Sorry for taking so long eda i was doing posion testing last night what can i do for ya?"
"Im out of elixirs" eda said giving him one of the empty bottles
"Oh ok let me see what i can do"
But before he turns back he looks at me then looks back at eda
"Hey eda? Is this the daughter you were talking about before have you finally told her yet? About the special potion?"
I look up at eda really confused "mom what does he mean?"
"Dont worry about it lets just say ive got i suprise for you coming soon well not much of a surprise anymore" she says glaring at morton who timidly goes into is shop looking for edas elixirs just then a bunch of cloaked witches walk by with a gaint creature tied to a cart
"Woah who are they?" I ask eda luz comes over asking the same thing
"Those are demon hunters dangerous witches who hunt and sell beast"
They look really intimidating definitely a good idea to keep my distance
I notice luz walking towards her friend's willow and gus they seem a bit down but before i could over i ovehere morton say something
"Um im really sorry eda it looks like i ran out and i wont get another stock of them until next week but i do have good news if you wait until tonight theres a vender at the night market named grimm hammer you'll find your elixirs there"
"Thanks Morton i know what im doing tonight"
"Hey mom can i come?"
"absolutely not i need you and luz to watch over the owl house while im gone"
Just then luz runs over looking really excited
"Hey eda can willow and gus come over tonight to have a moonlight conjuring?"
"Absolutely not just like i said to your sister here i need you 2 to watch over the owl house while im gone"
"What about me?" King asks
"Your coming with me i need and extra pair of hands for pickpocketers and for pickpocketing" she says smiling at king
Small timeskip
Eda was about to leave for the night market
"Ok you 2 make sure hooty doesn't do anything dumb while im out"
"Wheres king?" i ask
"Oh he's here just sleeping!" Eda reveals king sleep in a baby harness under her cloak
