Luz was reading azura to king and i was listening aswell i was a fan of azura mostly thanks to luz plus she looked really happy ready it out so of course i sat there i listened until the door suddenly opened
"Hoot hoot hey eda you got a package"
We look outside and see a basket we bring it inside and put it on the table
"Hmm i wounder what it is?" eda says as she walks over to check what it was
She starts unwrapping it a small creature that was sleeping
"Hey mom theres a note on the basket"
It read take care of my child for tonight ill pay you tomorrow xoxo bat queen
Edas eyes lit up when she heard the last part "the bat queen! Oh boy i guess were babysitting today king"
"Whos the bat queen?" I ask
"Shes the richest demon on the isle if shes paying then its gonna be alot!"
"What about me and mirabel?" Luz asks
"You 2 are on a mission today to the library luz you have to go return my books and mirabel im just sending you there because theres definitely books there about the different kinds of magic"
"Oooo ok! Thanks mom!" i give her a big hug before helping luz with some of books
We made our way to library and inside it was beautiful
"Woah this place is amazing"
Suddenly the books flew from our hands to the receptionist
"All of these books are late and blood and coffee stains? These are definitely edas"
"Yup thats my mom for you that was a crazy night"
"I'll just put these on her tab if you 2 are going to look around please be aware that were closing early for the wailing star event this evening"
"Whats that?"
"Your in a library read a book about it"
"I am in a library i will read a book!" Luz then walks off curiously
I turn back towards the librarian
"Um im sorry for bothering you but do you know where the books are for teaching basic magic?"
"They are over there" he said pointing to a book shelf
"Thank you" i said quietly before walking off i reach the shelf and it was divided among multiple shelves of books each separated by the type of magic i know im gonna be checking out alot of books so i summon an abomination to help me carry them
I first go to abominations and illusions since im already pretty decent with both of those i get some more advance books i go to healing and get both basic and novice books but for the rest i get basic guides i stack them all up on the abomination and begin searching for luz i see her in the kids section talking to amity
"Hey luz watcha been up to?"
"Oh nothing much i was trying to talk to amity but she seems pretty upset with me"
"Your gonna let her get to you?"
We turn around to see a tall boy and girl with dark green hair in illusion track uniforms i feel my face blush red there both really attractive
"Who are you 2?" Luz asks
"Where just wounders fulfilling our misson watch this hey mittens!"
Amity stopped and turned around her face red as a tomato
"Mom said to stop forgetting your lunch also stop being such a jerk to your friend's"
"There not my friends"
