Kurama's POV:

It took me over 3 hours to drive back to my home city. I drove straight home and switched into a different, Les fancy car. I didn't want to be recognized in the town I was going to either so I changed clothes. I picked darker, more common clothes. I then got back in my car and drove to a small town about 15 minutes away from my house. When I got there I drove down the streets slowly looking along the sidewalks. Honestly it was a really scratchy neighborhood and I'm glad Sasuke is no longer living here so he wasn't the one I was worried about.

It was itachi I was looking for and I found him.

He was wailing with his head down, he wore a thick black hoodie with the hood pulled far over his head and his hands in his pockets. I parked my car and got out walking over to him as he sat down on an outdoor bench.

"Need somewhere to sleep tonight?"

I already knew the answer.

He said nothing but nodded instead. Head got up and followed me to my car. I opened the passenger door for him and offered him a hand in but he didn't take it. He turned his head so I knew he looked at it. I heard his voice low and shaky as if it was choking.

"Thank you."

Was all that came out before he climbed into the car and sat down.

I paused for a moment trying to get a good look at his face but I couldn't with nothing but the light of the mood being the only source. I finally gave up. I closed his door, got in the driver's side and started driving back to my house.

He was as silent as a graveyard the whole ride. I wanted to make sure he was okay but this was not the place to do it, I am going to wait until I can take him to the safety of my room. Once we got there I turned off the car, walked around, opened the door for him, and grabbed his hand leading him inside my family's mansion. When I walked through the front door, my mom was in the living room, she turned her head to greet me with a large smile but her expression quickly changed from excited to worried when she spotted itachi. She didn't know alot but she knew enough to know why he was here. She looked back and forth between me and itachi who still had his head hung low. I gave her a meaningful look and she nodded her head in understanding. I then pulled itachi up the stairs and into my room locking the door behind us. I stood facing the door breathing and trying to preparing myself for what itachi was about to say as he stood a few feet behind me.

"Show me!"

I demanded in the softest voice I could muster.

He still said nothing but instead lifted his hoodie over his head and revealed his arms, face, and neck. I grit my teeth at what I saw. He had a busted lip that was purple and swollen, and he had many more bruises spread across his face, the worst one probably was the one on his forehead just above his eyebrow. It was a deep red in the middle with blood dripping down the side of his face. He had a large cut on his upper arm, almost his shoulder, it was surrounded with one large bruise that spread down his arm.

"And you back?"

I said through my grit teeth.

He slowly turned around and pulled off his t-shirt revealing his back. It looked like someone had beat it with a rod for weeks in a row and I clenched my fists knowing that that's exactly what had been happening. You see, whenever Itachi failed at even the smallest thing his father would lose it. He would make itachi take off his shirt and beat him with a metal shaft until he would cry, then say atun  of degrading stuff to him,  which is all absolute bullshit. Even so I know that it has an effect on him either way.
