3ed POV-

"Because Tobi has to break a promise."
He whispered into the nape of his neck. Deidara wanted to scream and shout but he had matured much since those years. He took a small breath, still holding his lover.

"What do you mean?"
He asked as calmly as he could. Tobi whimpered and squeezed his Senpai tighter without giving an answer.
"Tobi!"
Deidara warned.
"I'm trying to be civil about this, don't make it difficult!"

"T-Tobi has to go back."
He barely breathed out, his voice almost under a whisper. Deidara chewed his lip hard, the slight taste of ion mixing with his saliva.

"Maybe we should come inside and talk about this!"
He spoke plainly but through gritted teeth. Practically pushing Tobi off he turned and walked inside. The taller brunette whimpered almost in tears and followed, looking like a lost puppy that had just been kicked. As he sat at the small, two person, table, the blond ripped through the cabinets. Yanking a bag of coffee out he slammed it shut. He was quite aggressively making himself a drink as Tobi fumbled over his words in silence.

"Are you angry with me Senpai?"
His timid voice echoed through the house.

"No, I'm not!"
He yelled, slamming his hands on the plastic counter. Taking a deep breath he ran a hand through his long hair before repeating himself.
"No, I'm not!"
The sentence came out much calmer then before but with just as much venom.

"Senpai I'm sorry! Just let me explain!"

"Explain then!"
He snapped, whipping around to glare. Tobi fell silent, fiddling with the sleeve of his shirt, nervously trying to find the right words. He always talked a lot, but he never seemed to say the right words.
Deidara scoffed and turned back to making his coffee.
"You promised you wouldn't go back to him! No matter what! That's what you said! I can't believe you'd actually go back. After everything he's done to you! What do think he's gonna do when he sees you? Cause judging by your fucking face it won't be a warm welcome Tobi!"

"You don't understand Senpai! I have to go back!"

"Why? So he can ruin your other eye? Blind you in both of them?"
Tobi slumped down in his seat as the words left Deidara's mouth. Reaching up he touched his finger's lightly over the deep scars on his face. They were quite a sight. They drew attention where ever he went. He leaned to ignore the stares and odd looks, but how could he ignore his own reflection?
"I'm sorry"
Deidara sighed.
"That was too far, I had no right to bring that up!"

"It's fine."
He mumbled, dropping his hand into his lap again.
"There is a good reason, Deidara Senpai. I swear!"

"Then tell me?"
He urged, coming to sit down across from him.

Tobi struggled for a moment, no words seemed to come to mind.
"He hurt them."
Was all the squeaked out.
"He hurt them! Badly! I have to go back for them!"

"Who?"
The brunette fidgeted, seeming to struggle and squirm against something that wasn't there. He moved his mouth to speak but nothing came out.
"Hey!"
Deidara reached over, cupping his cheek.
"It's okay, just tell me."

"My brothers"
The words were under his very breath, almost impossible for the blond to hear but he caught enough to know what his lover was talking about.
