Never Stop - SafetySuit

This is my love song to you
Let every woman know I'm yours
So you can fall asleep each night, babe
And know I'm dreaming of you more
You're always hoping that we make it
You always want to keep my gaze
Well you're the only one I see
And that's the one thing that won't change
And with this love song to you
It's not a momentary phase
You are my life, I don't deserve you
But you love me just the same
And as the mirror says we're older
I want to look the other way
You are my life, my love, my only
And that's the one thing that won't change
You still get my heart racing for you
I'll never stop trying
I'll never stop watching as you leave
I'll never stop losing my breath
Every time I see you looking back at me
I'll never stop holding your hand
I'll never stop opening your door
I'll never stop choosing you babe
I'll never get used to you

EPILOGUE

A sea of eyes were on them, but all she could see in that moment was him. His eyes were focused on nothing but her, sparkling just for her, as tears began to pool in the corners. He hadn't stopped smiling since she first saw him - that crooked boyish grin that had stolen her heart long ago. It was the only smile she wanted to see for the rest of her life. They stood there, surrounded by their family and friends, holding each others' hands and getting lost in each others' eyes, smiling and giggling like two teenagers in love.

"The couple has prepared their own vows." Joey said. "Rachel, you may begin."

She squeezed his hands as she cleared her throat.

"They say when you meet the love of your life, you just know. Well I can't exactly say that geeky afro convinced me of that back when we were teenagers. But when we met again later in life, even though it took us a while, there was no question that you were the love of my life.

I think we were both put on a specific path to live through parts of life that would make us who we are today, so we could appreciate how special and beautiful and rare our love is. To know a love like ours - so deep and so maddening - I didn't even think a love like this existed - but it does. And it is the greatest gift I have ever known. Not only are you the love of my life, but you are my very best friend.

You have the special ability to gently nudge my heart when it comes out of rhythm. And when my soul begins to tear at the seams, you always stitch it back together again.

When I look at forever, you're the only person I want by my side. And I can't wait to be old and gray together, looking back on our life, knowing that it was full of happiness and laughter and so much love. You make me smile, you make me laugh, you give me comfort, and peace, and more love than I have ever known. And I promise to hold our love near to my heart and to cherish it every single day for the rest of my life.

I think love is having the ability to live and thrive apart, but making the choice to be together instead. And Ross, I choose you, and I will keep on choosing you everyday, because you are my home."

He marveled at the innate beauty the woman in front of him possessed as tears rolled down her cheeks, knowing that it was all for him. He didn't think it was possible to love her any more than he already did, but somehow, he did. He was so taken by her words and her love for him, that he couldn't contain his own tears from falling down.

Joey turned to him, "Ross, it's your turn now".

"You know it's funny... you said when we first met that you never would have thought we'd ever fall in love. But I knew. From the moment I met you, I knew that our hearts were created for each other - I knew that it was the only possible explanation for how inexplicably in love with you I was. Over the years, my love for you has changed, and I'm glad for that. Through every twist and turn that life has taken us through, it has deepened and it has grown, and I've discovered so many different sides to our love. And while I didn't always listen to my heart like I should have, I'm so thankful that we found each other again. Life has shown me what it's like to be without you, but what you and I have is far too great to ever be apart again. I'll never forget the day you came crashing back into my life in that soaking wet wedding dress. You took hold of my heart that day and you never let it go. And now here we are, and I couldn't be more convinced that my heart beats only for you.

Because of that, I don't see these vows as promises to you, but as privileges; I get to laugh with you and cry with you; care for you and share with you. I get to believe in you, and the couple we will be together. I get to support you and cheer you on. I get to have so much fun with you and laugh until we cry. I get to be faithful and to make our family's love and happiness my biggest priority. I get to dream with you, celebrate with you, and walk beside you through whatever life brings us.

Rachel, I can't wait to chase our dreams together.

And for all those reasons, I'm the luckiest man alive. There aren't adequate words in the human vocabulary to articulate how lucky I am that I get to spend every day of the rest of my life loving you. But I do know that a day won't go by that I don't do everything in my power to show you that I'll never take us for granted, and I can promise you that."

She had long since stopped trying to fight the imminent tears. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to finally be standing here, finally marrying the man that loved her so well, so perfectly.

"I think it's apparent that these two share a very deep love that will carry them throughout their lives. Without further ado, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

He took her in his arms and kissed her like his life depended on it, ready to start their forever together.

xx
