Just then three people entered the room.
"Hi, guys!" Peter said, waving.
Peter POV
"Peter?" And just like that, I was wrapped in an almost suffocating hug.
"Hey, Ned. It's so good to see you." I laughed. He pulled away from the hug, smiling like crazy with tears in his eyes. I smiled back at him. Then I felt someone hit my arm.
"That's for scaring me," MJ said. Then she pulled me in for a hug as well.
"That's for pulling through," She said.
"I'm sorry for scaring you MJ. I'll try not to do it again." I said.
"Correction, you WON'T do it again," She said.
"Right. I won't." I agreed. She laughed and hugged me again.
As she stepped back, I saw Wade standing back by the door. He looked hesitant and unsure. I smiled at him and carefully stood up. Dad immediately jumped up and helped me walk over to him. As soon as I could, I wrapped my arms around Wade. He stiffened and then hugged me back.
"I'm sorry, Petey," He whispered.
"I know. I know. I forgive you." I whispered. I pulled back a bit and cupped his face in my hands.
"Hey, we both made mistakes. Let's just move past it. I'm okay. I'm here. I'm safe." He nodded and smiled at me.
"I don't deserve you," He whispered.
"And I don't deserve you. But here we are." I said. He chuckled.
"Here we are indeed," He said. Our heartfelt moment was rudely interrupted by my legs buckling. Wade moved quickly and picked me up.
"Back to bed," Dad said and I groaned.
*Time skip - 3 days*
"Can I please go?" I begged my dad.
"No, Peter. I'm sorry, bud, but you're still not healthy enough." Dad sighed. He was sitting by my bed, scrolling through websites looking for wedding preparations.
"But, I'm gonna be so behind in my classes," I argued.
"I thought Ted was bringing you work?" He retorted, not looking up from his searching.
"It's Ned, Dad. And that's not the same." I said.
"Mhm, Ned Ted whatever," He said, waving a hand in my direction. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at your father, young man," He chided. I sighed.
"Can I at least leave the room? Go to the lab or something?" I asked. He looked up at me.
"How about we go up to the common room?" He asks. I nod.
"Please? Literally anywhere except here." I said. He laughed.
"Alright, I'll have Bruce come down and we'll get you somewhere else for a little." I smiled.
"Thanks, Dad." He lightly kissed my forehead before leaving.
