FIRST TASK

Today was the first task of the Triwizard Tournament.
Veronica stood at the tent. 'Harry?' She wispered.
'Yeah?'
'How you feeling? Okay?'
Harry didn't answer.
Veronica pushed the tent open and threw her arms around Harry's neck.
Suddenly a flash went off and the two of them instantly pulled away.
(I'm just leaving Rita Skeeter out🙄. The closest we get it is the last sentence.)
Finally when it was Harry's turn...Veronica feared for his life.
Because this is not fair to her friend and the chances are he won't survive.
What Malfoy told her the other day kept bothering her. She knows better than to listen to him but it made her rethink the whole thing.
That's the worst part.
She watched Harry fly with his broom but the dragon flew after him and Veronica got more and more worried after a minute when they heard the dragon roar and then...silence.
But after a minute or two of silence, Harry came flying back and got the egg.
Veronica and Hermoine cheered the loudest of everyone else.

Luckily after the first task, everything seemed a little better.
But now Harry had to try and figure out the next task. Which he still hasn't done. And it was worrying Veronica. Harry and Ron finally made things right between them.
Veronica went and looked things up in the library.
Anything that can maybe give a clue of the egg or the next task.
But she can't figure it out.
And she knew that she shouldn't stay too long. It was almost curfew. So she knew she should get going.
'Can we talk, Veronica?' Harry asked her when he saw she had entered the Common Room.
'Uh...of course.'
They went to stand in the corner.
'Thank you for today, Veronica. I really appreciate it.'
Veronica gave him a warm smile. 'Of course. Any time.'
