Christmas was almost here and Veronica didn't really know if going was a good idea. No one asked her for one but she was kinda shy. She knew Harry was planning on asking Cho Chang to the ball. Neville asked Hermione but she said no. (That was in the book.) So Neville went with Ginny instead. Maybe Veronica will just sit by die fire in the Gryffindor Common Room and read a book. She wanted to go to the party but she felt too shy and there will be a lot of people. When Veronica asked Hermione, she said someone already asked her.
It was one of those days where Professor Snape was giving them a test to write. But whenever Ron or Harry would start talking, Snape would hit them on the head with a book (not hard if ya know what I mean and if ya seen the movie)
When Snape walked away, Ron turned to Hermione. 'Hermione, you're a girl.' She gave him a look. 'Well, spotted.' Veronica sighed and turned her attention back to her test. She was almost done. She had 3 questions left. 'I won't be going alone because believe it or not, someone's already asked me.' Hermione stood up and went to hand in her book to Snape. 'And I said yes.' She hissed when she walked back and left. Veronica finished her questions and went to give her book to Snape.
<Time skip to the Yule Ball>
Veronica was nervous as she walked down the steps towards the Great Hall. The moment she entered, all heads turned to her. She felt really awkward right now. Not to mention anxious. She didn't have much experience with dancing either. She just went and ducked in between the crowd and went to stand against the wall. Hopefully no one will bother her. Atleast she hoped so. But that hope faded away when she saw Draco Malfoy walking over to her. Just ignore him. She told herself. 'Do you want to dance?' Malfoy asked her reaching out his hand. 'I...uh...can't dance.' 'Just one dance and if you don't like it, you can come stand here again.' Might as well, risk it.
'Is that Veronica with Draco Malfoy?' 'No. Absolutly not.' Ron denied but he saw it with his own eyes. And afterwards, Ron and Hermoine ended up fighting and poor Veronica got caught in between the whole thing and Ron lashed out at her for dancing with Draco Malfoy. So the night didn't have much of a good end for some of them.
