Veronica was hurring up the steps of the Astronimy Tower. She was hoping that Harry and Dumbledore were back by now. She needed to tell them about Draco Malfoy. Harry had been right! He was a Death Eater! She only stopped when she heard Dumbledore's voice. Telling Harry to hide... But why? Veronica was about to take another step when Harry came hurrying down the stairs and he pulled her to under the floor where Dumbledore stood. (If you guys know what I'm talking about😅) Soon footsteps were heard and none other than Draco Malfoy came walking up the stairs. He luckily didn't notice Harry and Veronica. 'I've been chosen!' Malfoy said as he moved up his sleeve. But soon more footsteps were heard and the girl and boy saw in horror as none other than Bellatrix and 3 more people came up the stair case. Veronica wanted to scream... She wanted to warn Dumbledore... But Harry placed his hand on her shoulder and she got the hint. 'Come on, Draco! Kill him! Now!' Bellatrix shrieked. And then Veronica and Harry turned to see Snape standing behind them. He signalled them to stay silent and they just nodded. As the teacher went up the remaining stairs. 'No.' Snape said and raised his wand at Dumbledore. 'Severus.' The Headmaster said. 'Please.' 'Avada Kedavra!' Veronica was about to scream but Harry covered her mouth and murmured in her ear that it was okay and that everything would be okay.
But as soon as the Death Eaters left, Veronica pulled free from Harry's grip and ran after them. Her blood was boiling and she was vowing vengeance. She had thought... She had acctually thought that Snape would... That he would... He lied... He was a traitor... Finally she came into the grounds and saw Hagrid's house on fire. 'SNAPE!' She screamed. 'HE TRUSTED YOU!' Malfoy turned around in horror when he heard Veronica's voice. Because he knew she saw what he had done... And she propably hated him for it. Harry was close on Veronica's heels and the girl and Snape ended up dueling. But Bellatrix came and disarmed Harry. 'NO!' Veronica screamed and fell to her knees in pain as the crazy lady (yes that's her name now) used the Cruciatus Curse on her. 'No...' Harry gasped. 'Enough!' Snape told Bellatrix and Veronica felt the pain stop. 'He belongs to the Dark Lord and this girl is off limits.' Bellatrix said nothing and just walked off. Harry raised his wand at Snape and tried to disarm him. But it was no use. Harry got to his feet and yelled: "Sectumsempra!" but Snape knocked him down. 'You dare use my own spells against me, Potter?' This confused both the teens. 'I am the Half-Blood Prince.' And with that Snape turned on his heel and left. Veronica crawled on her knees to Harry. 'Are you okay?' She asked him worriedly. 'Yeah.' Veronica knew after what she just saw tonight, they were out numbered if another war came. And worse, Dumbledore was gone... The last of Harry's protectors were gone...
