HAZEL'S POV:

I ENDED UP AT THE studio the next after clay left. it was around 2 and i was working with a producer to make twin flame come to life.

i was recording the acoustic guitar part of the song, with no singing. i was having a great time with this new producer, craig.

after recording the acoustics, we brought in a drummer and i showed then how i needed the song to go. the we recorded that which took awhile to get right.

then we recorded the bass which i did. that also took a few tries to get right. once it hit 7, we decided we were going to pull an all-nighter to get this song recorded.

craig and i went out to get coffee. while getting coffee i looked at my phone to see clay texted me.

i put my phone away as we made our way back into the studio. i sat on the couch and pulled out my notebook that had the lyrics in it.

i looked through them before going into the booth and putting the headphones on. as i waited for craig to be ready, i texted my manager/tour manager, mira.

dates? only asking because i want to

along with tickets

just got confirmation from all the
venues today, working on tickets
prices and sales right now and tmr.
they should be ready by next week

i turned my phone off and looked up at craig who gave me a thumbs up and i gave one back. he talked through the microphone that went to my headphones

"on in 10" he said then the metronome started anx then the instrumental we put together for twin flame

"yeah, it's been six days since the last time i saw your face" i sang out.

we sang through the whole song and i took and deep breath after. craig did some editing while i stepped out of the booth. i check my phone to see clay sent me a snapchat of his cat, patches.

craig started playing the product we produced so i filmed a small clip and sent it to him.

i listen intensely and nearly started to cry. i was beyond proud of this song. craig and i looked at each other in shock at the end. just some vocals and figuring out what to put in that blank spot.

"what if for that blank spot we put that voice memo you showed me for i miss you, i'm sorry?" i clapped at his question

"yes!" i cheered going to find

once i found it i emailed the file to his email. he saved it and cut a piece to fit perfectly while i just watched.

"here" he said playing it.

my voice boomed in the speaker of me talking to clay in high school about us running away together. i smiled at the sound and nodded

"i love it" i said honestly

i felt the need to cry, but i had vocals to do. i did some warm ups and breif sing alongs the got up to the microphone.

craig instructed me on what to do and i just followed his words. we did about an hour of vocals. and cut them all into the song. by the time be had also re-recorded the main vocal many times, it was 2 am.

"i think that's a wrap, i will send this file to you" he said and i thanked him
