HAZEL'S POV:

     IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY and the day that twin flame would officially be put out into the world and into the arms of my fans and supporters. i was extremely proud of myself and excited for the song

i woke up at 12 pm next to taylor. the song coming out at 9 pm. i was having some friends over for a party to support the announcement of the song.

taylor was already up and on her phone. i streched and grabbed my phone to see a ton of texts from people. damn.

"happy birthday. your lover boy is here" taylor said to me making me groan

"whyyyyyyyy" i said while sitting up. i got out of bed and put a sweatshirt on.

"he actually is doing something sweet. go see him" she said as i walked into my bathroom

i first peed, brushed my hair and teeth, and washed my face. i then walked out to the living room to find clay sitting on the couch dressed nicely. i noticed roses on the table with a card on top.

he looked up at me and smiled before standing and opening his arms out for me. i walked into them and was embraced into a hug. he also kissed the top of the head.

"happy birthday baby" he said placing a finger under my chin and lifting my head up.

i looked up at him before he connected our lips together. i stood on my tip toes as he gripped my waist. i wrapped my arms around his neck also.

"you look nice" i said

"yeah, we are going out for lunch so go get ready." he told me and i groaned

"getting ready is so difficult"

"baby i know you love getting ready" he said and i smiled before going to my room to get ready which made him laugh.

i went to my closet first to get an outfit. i settled on a green shirt that ties in the front with a floral skirt.

i went to the bathroom and changed before straightening my hair and doing light makeup. as i finished up i walked out of the bathroom and went to grab my green converse and put them on.

after about thirty minutes of getting ready, i looked at taylor who gave me a thumbs up. i smiled before going out to the living room.

clay put his phone down and looked at me with his mouth wide open. he stood up and we walked towards each other.

"you look absolutely gorgeous" he told me making a delicate smile place itself on my face

"thank you handsome" i responsed as he grabbed the roses and card and gave them both to me.

i thanked him before putting the roses on the kitchen counter as he followed me into the room. i pulled out a vase and unwrapped the roses before placing them in the vase.

i then turned to clay with a smile on my face as i grabbed the card off the counter. he motioned for me to open it so i did so. i opened the envelope to reveal a card with a small cat in the center making me smile.

i opened it up and read the following:

haze,

happy birthday pretty girl. i am beyond proud of you and all that you have accomplished up to this point. i know i wasn't there for half of it but i was always watching from afar. i can't lie to you, i fell in love with you the first time you walked into class on april 3rd of sophomore year. your pink hair and mom jeans caught me so off gaurd but i loved the feeling it brought me. you sat next to me since i sat alone in the corner. then smile you gave me before introducing yourself gave me butterflies, which never happened to the big bad clay. but you made it happen. we became best friends and i fell in love with your eyes and your smile. they brought a light to my life on my darkest days. i fell in love with you at first sight. now when we started dating i never planned on letting you go but then i did. i will never forgive myself for doing so. those two years were hell without you laughing by my side. i missed your freckles that popped out in the sun, your laugh when you saw a funny clip on instagram, the way you held onto my arm when you were scared, the way you smiled when you saw a baby, but most importantly, i missed the way you loved me with all you had. now that i have that back, i truly am never letting go. it's hell without you hazel rose. i love you. happy birthday <3
