Morisuke heard that and he immediately knew what the name was supposed to be. He looked at Lev then at the owner before chuckling. "Thank you, sir," he let go of Lev's hand so he could bow properly to the owner. "I'm Yaku Morisuke, Lev's boyfriend." With that, he straightened up and gave a bright smile to the older man before taking his seat and pulling Lev with him. Was he hurt? Naaaah... It's no one's fault if Lev had a best friend he brought to his favorite spot. But did he enjoy looking at Lev's face when he's trying not to panic? Definitely.
The owner smiled wide and excitedly, "Ah! It is a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm Hirito," he hands Yaku a menu for them to share. "Please let me know when you are ready," he walked away.
The former Nekoma libero thanked the owner and opened the menu to see the dishes to choose from. So far, he liked what he was seeing. Good thing he brought his salary for the month. It seems he'll be eating a lot tonight.
Lev put his hand back with Yaku's hand, "I'm sorry, this is just the only place that's open this late. And they are also open and protective of their rainbow patrons." He couldn't stop the smile, "but that's the first time you called yourself my boyfriend. And it made me so very happy. You make me so very happy." Lev kissed Yaku on the cheek and pointed to something on the menu. "They have your favorite too, stir-fried vegetables with honey pork."
Morisuke grinned at Lev and shrugged. "If you're apologizing because the owner almost called Ryuuki's name, then that apology is misplaced. He's your friend. It's not your fault nor is it his that the owner got so used to you two coming here together. Besides..." he looked at the menu once more and started to point at the dishes he was going to order. "You're mine. If you think a simple mistake like that will make me question myself then you're kinda delusional, don't you think?"
Lev did slightly flinch and narrow his eyes when Yaku said Ryuuki's name. Yes, he is my friend. But... there are times we didn't look like friends on the outside. Especially with our arrangement. "I couldn't be sure what you'd think, you didn't react when I talked about him. Like when we were young and I couldn't be sure if you liked me back. But I will learn to read you better the more we grow together," he spoke with such sincerity. "I'm happy to know, delusionally happy to know, that I, Haiba Lev, belong to you," he teased the word 'delusionally'.
Seeing how sincere and happy Lev was made Morisuke's heart fill with joy. He reached for the younger man's hand and held it tightly. "Lev, I did not react when you talked about him but in my head, I was already cursing him in every language I know. But anyway, I'm just happy that I get to be with you. You don't have to walk on eggshells for me. I've done that enough to know how difficult it is. We will learn about each other as we move forward. No need to rush." His hand tightened on the larger one. "I already know that your virginity was taken by a 28-year old man. And that you are still as awkward and as crybaby as when we were in high school. I know you love this place and that you came with Ryuuki here more than a handful of times."
He let go of Lev's hand, leaned back on his chair, crosses his arms over his chest, and then smirked at his lover. "Besides, I've seen him." His lips curved on the left side as his left brow rose. "I have to say... I look much better."
Lev knew he looked a bit annoyed. For all the years he had to hide his expressions and live in fear to move or speaking growing up in an abusive household, he was finally able to freely express them when they escaped that man. Only now to be called awkward and a crybaby. There is nothing wrong with expressing your emotions, he definitely did control them a lot better than when they were in high school. It is just impossible when it comes to Yaku. Lev wants Yaku to see all of him, he has good, and bad too.
Morisuke saw the change in Lev's reaction and he had to force his heart not to speed up. He had to make sure that his mind won't jump to conclusions that may make him wonder about things he should not be wondering about. He might have overstepped his bounds when he said that he looked much better than Ryuuki. Or maybe it was because he said he cursed the other man in all languages he knew? Okay, no, stop. Stop. No overthinking on their first date. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He counted to ten to pull himself back to a joyful mood.
