"I couldn't be any more wrong"- Harper Hawke
It was mid day when a very worried Ada Shelby stormed into the garrison tears running down her face and a hand clutching her stomach. "Have either of you seen Freddie?!" She yelled with worried eyes.
Francis ran to her friend and ordered her to sit down at a table "Ada what's wrong what's going on!" She was profusely trying to calm the shaking girl.
Ada could barely get her words out her worry completely over taking her "they're going to kill eachother," she whispered. Francis shot Ada a confused look pressing her to carry on. "They're down at the cut... Tommy and Freddie, they're going to kill eachother." Ada had managed to calm down enough to get that sentence out but she still shook throughout her whole body.
Francis was in complete shock she was silent unsure of how to comfort her pregnant friend. All she could do was shush Ada as her head was pressed against the other girls neck. Soft and calming strokes were placed onto Ada's head and she soon found herself relaxing in Fran's grip.

Polly's house was the smartest place to go right now. If anyone would know about the situation it would be Polly. She knew it was risky but it was the only place she could go to get this sorted. So that's exactly where Francis went, in a strop down the roads of small heath and onto watery lane just infront of Polly's house.
Francis shook from the cold rain that pelted against her skin. Her dark brown coat that led to her ankles was completely soaked through. She was sure that she would catch a cold if she stayed outside for any longer.
As she approached the murky brown door she froze wondering what exactly would happen if she walked through. But just a quick as the thought came around the door swung open "I saw you standing in the rain from the window," to Fran's shock Thomas was unharmed she went so much as to even say he looked... well?
She was confused but entered the home anyway. At least now she could ask a main person in this event instead of someone who would only know about it. She followed Thomas into Polly's kitchen and sat down with him at the large table. She coughed lightly to clear her throat before speaking up. "Where's, Pol?" She asked.
His sky blue eyes met her forest brown ones and she could tell he was angry. "With Ada," he spoke bluntly.
Francis hopped up from the chair she was previously situated on and headed over to make herself a cup of tea. "Would you like one?" She asked him, but when she got no reply she turned around. Thomas was stood right behind her and she found herself catching a breath in anxiety at their close proximity.
"Red." He said plainly to which Francis looked up at him confused "the dress. Did you get a red dress?"
Thomas found himself stumbling over his own words as if he himself was confused at their closeness yet he was the one that had walked behind her.
"Yes" she spoke breathlessly.
They lingered in that position for a few moments, Thomas' eyes went to her lips and Francis's went to his but straight back up to his eyes that were still glaring at her lips. The intensity of the moment got to each of them as they found themselves passionately pressing their dry lips together.
For Thomas it felt as if he had never been kissed before, sure he had kissed women, but this felt special. As for Francis she was just relishing in the fact he had payed her an ounce of attention.
The kiss grew fiercer as Tommy picked Francis up from the bottom of her thighs and planted her harshly onto the counter of Polly's kitchen. She rushed to pull Tommy's coat off and vice versa.
The harsh kissing stopped as heels clanked against the floor and Polly stepped into the kitchen before coughed loudly to gain the pairs attention. Francis wiped her mouth clear of slobber and Tommy allowed his head fall gently forward onto her shoulder, almost feeling protected in her embrace.
Clearing her throat she met the stern gaze of the matriarch. "I uh- sorry." Francis spoke still sitting on the counter.
"Don't talk to me, love, I won't hear a word of it. I'm glad you two have kissed and made up, but next time do it elsewhere not on my kitchen counter you bloody muppets!" Polly's hand waved around in the air signalling slightly that it might be time to go.
Francis hopped down from the counter with Tommy's help -which wasn't needed- Thomas then picked up both of the members coats and began leading Francis to Polly's front door.
He paused her and turned her around before helping her out her jacket on. "Get home safe," Tommy's mood had seemed to shift to a sour one completely different from his previous mood but Francis paid it no mind.
"Goodnight, Tom."
As Francis walked away Tommy took in what she had called him.
She never called him Tom. ————————————————————————— Short chapter I know but thank you lovely people for all the reads!
