While waiting for a response, Hunter thought over and over about this idea he had. If he got caught he would be in big trouble with his uncle for sure, but in the letter he got in the morning today he said he would be out for a couple of days, meaning he could get away with it! But the problem was, because Emperor Belos was gone, as second in command Hunter had to stay here and follow his lists of commands that had to be done before he came back. But that led to the question; Should he follow through with his plan now, or wait until Belos came back? Or should he even do this at all?

He shook his head at the last question, of course, he was going to go through with this, Hunter was pretty stealthy considering he was keeping a secret palismen behind his back. So surely he would be able to meet his "friends"— or acquaintances in secret too. And besides, Darius even said it himself. "He needed to have more of a social life."

"What do you think I should do? Go through with this now or after Uncle comes back?" Hunter turned to his Palismen, who had come out of its hiding place and tweeted on his desk.

"Before? Yeah, you're right I was thinking the same thing. But I won't have time to do both leading the Coven Heads AND going to Hexide." He put a hand up to his chin and thought, "Perhaps I could teleport in and out of leading the missions and going to Hexide! It'll be hard— but it could work!"

His palismen chipped in agreement.

.

"Wait so let me get this straight—when you first met him he told you his name was Caleb Jasper Bloodwilliams, he was an exchange student from the "Toes," and he was a part of your flying derby team?!" Luz exclaimed in sheer disbelief, her face being so close to the sphere you could only see her eyes.

"Called the 'Emerald Entrails,' yes." Willow nodded surprisingly calmly.

"And then after winning the game, he revealed to you guys that he was the Golden Guard and tried to kidnap you guys and force you to join the Emperor's Coven?" Amity asked through the glass ball skeptically.

"Yeah, that's right." Willow nodded her head once again.

"But then all of a sudden when you guys were about to get your brains smashed by the head of the Abomination Coven Hunter swoops in and saves you guys?!" Luz yelled again.

"While giving a speech about how he wasn't deserving of wearing the Golden Guard sigil— or whatever that is, and let us go." Gus finished for them. Willow nodded once more, a smile spreading on her face.

While Willow was making late dinner for her parents, she was on a video call on her crystal Ball with her friends Luz, Gus, and Amity. She and Gus were giving the full story on how Hunter ended up joining their flying derby team, went as a fake alias, forced them to join the Emperor's Coven but when they were about to be hurt by the Head of the Abomination Coven, he stepped in and saved them. Willow didn't completely know what to think of Hunter now, but she didn't hate him as much as she did before when he revealed himself to them. His saving them showed that there was a good person under there, and after all, everyone deserves a chance.

"My dad doesn't really like the Head of the Abomination Coven either, his name is Darius I think," Amity muttered while it looked like she was still trying to wrap her head around all this.

"But dude! Double plot twist! Hunter just keeps surprising me." Luz added while shaking her head, looking a bit amused.

Amity scoffed, "Okay big deal he did ONE nice thing, I still doubt he's a good person."

"Come on Amity—"

"No Luz! He threatened your safety even after I tried to reason with him, and he's still a part of the Emperor's coven, he can't be trusted!" Amity said back firmly as she crossed her arms over her chest on screen.

Willow could understand why Amity wasn't trusting of Hunter, after the events in the Eclipse Lake, it made sense why she would be wary of him.

"Aww thank you for protecting me, Mi Salvador." Luz gushed at her girlfriend, Amity turned a shade of red and smiled a bit.

"I know but I'm still willing to give him another chance." Willow still wanted to have faith in Hunter, she held the memories of what happened today at school fresh in her mind, he really looked like he was having fun with them today. Willow saw a side of Hunter where he was smiling and truly having a good time with them. She hoped she would be able to see that side of him again, even though his next day off would be in 52 weeks.

"Anyways— you guys have to see the way this guy types! It's unbelievably slow." Willow laughed as she scrolled up to the top and showed them their text messages on her scroll, and the time stamps next to each message.

"Oh Willow! Don't tell me you're texting him now!" Amity groaned as she held her face in her hands.

"I barely even sent anything!" Suddenly a thought resurfaced in her mind, "Oh yeah! Considering Hunter isn't here, we do need a replacement for the team. Luz and Amity, wanna join?"

"Yes! Thanks for the offer, Willow." Amity's mode seemed to brighten up with the invitation.

She could see Luz pump a fist in the air, "Hell yes girl! Flying Derby looks so much more fun than Grudgby." She then put a hand up to her chin. "I will have to borrow Eda's staff though, I still haven't carved my Palismen." She rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly.

"Wait wait wait hold on, I thought there could only be five players?!" Gus asked, confused.

"Well, either I could try and pull a few strings or we all could just rotate when playing!" Willow looked at the time and sighed, "I got to go now it's almost dinner time, I'll see you guys at school tomorrow!"

A chorus of byes was said and Amity's quick "Just stay away from—" was cut off as Willow turned off her crystal ball. She sighed but then noticed a new message on her phone from Hunter. She raised an eyebrow and scrolled down to see it.

GOLDEN_GUARD: Maybe we don't have to wait 52 more weeks, maybe I can try to sneak in Hexide on my own.

Willow's eyes widened. What did he mean by that? Would he really try to sneak into Hexide just to see them? Well, Hunter did seem like the individual who never had many friends, he seemed very clueless about having one. So it did make sense why he would go to these extreme measures. But would it really work?

plant_magic: Omg really?? Don't you have responsibilities though?? You don't have any more days off

After about five minutes while she was setting the table, she got another message.

GOLDEN_GUY: As long as I get no sleep for the next few days I'll be fine. The next few days are probably the best chance to do this.

GOLDEN_GUY: Captain, please tell no one of this plan.

The question was, did she even want him at Hexide? If word got out that the Golden Guard was at Hexide, all kinds of chaos would ensue. And did she want him there? She hasn't exactly fully forgiven him, but maybe meeting new friends would be beneficial for him? It wasn't her decision anyway, Willow hesitated for a moment, before texting back,

plant_magic: You can trust me
