He woke up the next day to Flapjack nudging his shoulder slightly. He immediately jumped up and looked at the time, 5:45. Perfect. He woke up fifteen minutes earlier than usual to prepare for his plan he was trying to make all of last night, so he barely got any sleep. The anxiousness and excitement was eating him alive. He knew he had to meet the other coven heads to tell them about their orders on what to do next for the Day of Unity while the Emperor was away. But for his plan to work, he had to make an excuse to Coven Heads on why he would be away. He racked his brain all night and only came up with one excuse. And he prayed to the Titan it would work.

Hunter got up and wore his Golden Guard uniform and went out into the halls to meet the Coven Heads in the forum. Beads of sweat were forming on his forehead as he heard his heart beating inside his chest, pounding in his ears. But he needed to do this. Hunter pushed open the doors of the room where they were meeting.

In there were all the Coven heads, Adrien Graye Vemworth of the Illusion Coven looking to have a very in depth conversation with Hettie Cutburn of the Healing Coven, Mason of the Construction Covensitting with Osran of the Oracle Coven and Vitmir of the Potions Coven, Terra Snapdragon of the Plants Coven keeping very close to Raine Whispers of the Bard Coven, and Eberwolf of the Beast Keeping Coven standing next to Darius of the Abomination Coven.

Once Hunter opened the large doors with a long clanging sound echoing the room all fell silent, and all eyes were on him. His eyes widened at the immediate attention on him but he cleared his throat in an attempt to compose himself and began to address them, "Nine Coven Heads. As you know our Emperor is gone for the next few days, and it is our job to prepare for the Day of Unity in his absence." From the corner of his eyes he could've sworn he saw Adrien roll his eyes at him. Hunter had to suppress a sneer and continued, "Emperor Belos has given me this list of reports, and you need to complete them while he is away." Hunter began to walk around the circular table made for the coven leaders and handed out the lists. "That is all for now, good day." Hunter finished and started to talk out of the room before a voice called out to him,

"Hold on, while we are completing the Emperor's list of chores, what might you be doing?" He could hear Adrien's sneering at him. Hunter took a deep breath and spun his heel to face him to say his excuse, "The Emperor has his own set of duties that he assigned to me and I must get started on them right away."

Darius raised an eyebrow at him and Hunter immediately turned away from his gaze. He didn't know why he didn't tell Darius of his plan; he was the one who told Hunter he should be getting out more and meeting with kids his age. And while they have grown a bit closer, maybe the fear in the back of his mind of Darius telling his uncle stopped him.

"Duties? Of what kind?" Darius spoke up stepping closer,

Hunter wanted to roll his eyes, technically Hunter was a higher rank than the rest of the Covens. While they may be Coven Leaders, Hunter was Belos's right hand man. Meaning they had no right to question him. But the Coven Heads have never taken him seriously. They always saw him as some spoiled child that was pampered by Emperor Belos. But he would show them. Oh he would show them he was so much more.

"The classified kind." Hunter bit out. He didn't mean to be rude to Darius, but this 'interrogation session' was getting on his last nerve.

"Aw calm yourself, brat. We aren't interested in what chores you have to do." Terra Snapdragon smugly smiled as the rest of the coven heads minus Darius, Eberworlf and Raine, started to laugh harder than the last time. Hunter could feel his face and the tips of his ears warm in anger and embarrassment. He turned his heel before he could look at them any longer,

"I'm off to begin them now, and the Emperor expects you to do the same." He marched out pushing the long doors out, making them slam on each side of the wall loudly, echoing throughout the room.
