It was almost halfway through the next day when Steve found he had zoned out during a meeting that the other Avengers had also been called to at the Tower. The night at Tony's party, he had found that Katherine was still finding ways to be stuck in his mind and occupy his thoughts.
He could still picture the dress that she had been wearing. It was snug against her body, following the way that her curves were formed. He found he couldn't stop letting his eyes roam the length of her body whenever she was nearby.
The sway of her hips against his before she would turn herself around, the grind of her body against his as she looked back with a grin. His hands would roam down her body, stopping just at the hem of her dress as he felt the line of the fabric against her thigh. He could still hear her breath hitching, hand falling down against his as she smirked.
It was much different dancing than he had ever experienced. He was used to days where he could barely look a woman in the eye to even think about asking her to dance. He knew that he would have stepped on any woman's toes that allowed him to take her to the dance floor. Now, he was surprised that what they had been doing was considered dancing. He had allowed her to take charge of the moment as she moved against him. They had eventually disappeared down a hallway after slipping through the large groups that had flooded the dance floor and bar.
He had her pressed against a wall, his lips attached to her throat as her head tilted back in pleasure. Her lips were parted as her eyes closed. He wasn't quite sure what had come over him in the moment, but he found that as one hand rested firmly at her side to steady her and keep her propped up, his other hand had began to roam just a bit.
He wasn't even sure that he was fully conscious of the movement as his fingers dipped underneath the fabric that sat against her hip. His fingers felt as if they were flaming as they crept higher up her thigh.
"Steve," her voice had come out a sweet as honey as she breathed sharply.
He hadn't realized it, but as his fingers crept up, splaying against her thigh and squeezing with just the right amount of pressure, she was feeling a pleasure that she had only dreamt of before that moment. She relished in the feeling of the way his hand blazed against the bare skin of her thigh and drew closer to that sweet spot that she craved for him to feel and caress.
Neither seemed to mind much as they became carried away in the moment with one another. As his hand roamed closer and closer, rubbing warm circles against her thigh with his thumb, Katherine shrugged the jacket she had worn off of her shoulders. The sound of the metal of the zipper clinking against the ground didn't register to either party as her hand had found itself lacing through Steve's hair, messing up the once styled locks.
The sound of heavy breathing had filled the hallway as Katherine resisted the urge to reach behind her and pull at the zipper of her dress. Despite being completely enthralled in the moment, she was terrified of making too bold a step and scaring him off. Yet somehow, Steve was so completely lost that his finger had crept up far enough that it hooked against the side of her underwear, slowly allowing himself to feel the skin that sat underneath it.
Thinking of it, he had wished that that was what had happened. Instead, they had simply danced against one another and finished the night with a walk down the halls of the Tower. As a picture was laid in front of him, he had to bring himself back to the meeting that he and the others were having. Tony and Nat were in the middle of talking about something, the words coming from their mouths becoming hazy and muddled as they reached Steve's ears.
The tone of Nat's voice seemed pressed as she took the picture from in front of Steve and laid it with several other pictures along the table. Pointing to each one, she turned to him and asked a question. He seemingly only could get out a blink before swallowing and taking in a surprised breath.
