I have no clue what this is about, and Simon dashes off just saying I need something fancy. What if he- no, there is no chance of that. I've taken every precaution to make sure he didn't think of proposing. I haven't brought it up for several months. Maybe he's going to break up with me. . .
There is no chance of that, I mean we *vigourous head nodding, with heavy implication* two nights ago. We're fine. I'm going to get dressed in my best suit.
Simon
After I get dressed, I hurry off to make everything right, carefully setting the mood for the big night. I was going to propose on our special dinner, but I'm pretty sure I'm incapable of waiting any longer. I've had this ring for two months. Its silver, with a small moon engraved into it, and the inside is lined with words only he would recognise. I hope he says yes. We haven't talked about getting married in a while. Oh god. This could go horribly wrong. We haven't talked about it in so long, and I'm sure it's because he doesn't want it. I slowly rotate the ring in my pocket, quickly working myself up into a panic. Thank god I can't go off, because the flat would be smoldering if I could.
I can't do this.
I can't do this.
I set the ring down by my plate, dread pooling in my stomach. What was I thinking? I have no clue what I was thinking. I can't be here. I- I need to leave.
I need to go.
Baz
I come out of the bedroom, ready for whatever Simon has cooked up- I smell the air, and then chuckle at my unintended pun. If only Si had heard it, he would have thought it was funny. I saunter into the kitchen smiling, and look at the dinner table. Simon cooked steak, and set the table beautifully.
I look around the room for him, ready to give him a much deserved kiss and tell him that I love it. But I can't find him. I look around the flat, checking every room, turning the whole place upside down.
He isn't here.
Where the hell did he go?! He promised me he wouldn't do this again. He promised.
Why the hell would he just disappear?! Things have been so good the last couple years, I dont know why he would do something like this. I look over at our lovely meal, hoping for a note, or something that could help me.
I'm starting to think that I'll have to use a spell when something glints in my eyeline. A ring. I walkover and pick it up, looking at the beautiful moon indent .
I look inside the ring.
This man-
I just-
I can't believe he still remembers.
