I don't own Omori.

"Hah...."

Sunny sits up from the couch to see his girlfriend sighing heavily as she taps the tv remote. Aubrey then opens the bottom of the remote and removes the batteries to check on them and lets out an annoyed huff.

"What's wrong?" Sunny asks.

"We're almost out of food in both the pantry and fridge, only have a few rolls of toilet paper left, ran out of laundry detergent, almost out of shampoo and conditioner, and I just found out that the last of the batteries are dead." Aubrey said with a heavy sigh. "Looks like it's that time."

"Oh, I see." Sunny said in understanding. "Shopping."

The two have lived together for almost two months and it's a miracle that they have lasted as long as they had without taking a single trip to the market. Ever since going to the mall, neither Sunny nor Aubrey have gone shopping. Also, the pair has never gone out to buy necessities such as food or bathroom supplies. Sunny gets up and walks over to the drawers to look for any batteries that might be unopened.

"Don't bother, I already opened the last pack for the alarm clock." Aubrey called out from the living room.

"I guess we have no choice." Sunny said as he put the remote aside. "Looks like we have to go out to buy some things."

Aubrey nods in agreement as shopping is a priority now, but there are two problems. One: money, and two: transportation. They can certainly go use Sunny's inheritance, but the two are using that for paying off the house and would rather not risk it. Thankfully, thanks to Sunny's new full time job and Aubrey doing some side gigs, the pair can afford to pay for food and other necessities. That still leaves problem number two though which is transportation. If the pair wants to buy everything they need, they will need more than just their hands or Aubrey's bike to carry it back.

"For starters, we need to ask someone for a ride." Sunny said, grabbing the phone. "If we're going to go shopping, I doubt we're just coming back with a bag or two. Anyone you want to call?"

Aubrey thinks for a moment. Polly has been taking them to places, but she doesn't want to bother her any more than she should. She could ask Kim, but her parents are not aware of her new living situations so that might be a problem. Kel and Hero's parents are in option, but they are taking Kel to a game so they might not have the time to spare. Hero might be able to help, but she doesn't know how busy he is or if he's joining Kel or not. Quinn and the officer from before may help, but to ask such a favor for them is beyond her. Ask her mom? Fuck that.

I guess our only real option is to ask either Polly or Hero. Aubrey thought. Let's ask Polly first. I hope she doesn't mind and if she does let help us, we should pay her gas money.

"Hey, Kel. Is Hero around?"

Aubrey swerves her head to see her boyfriend already talking on the phone.

"Sunny!" Aubrey hisses as she walks over to him. "What are you doing?"

"You were contemplating for the last few minutes and taking too long, so I decided to call Kel's place." Sunny explains holding the phone away. "Can you go find the coupon book for me please?

Aubrey huffs at the thought that Sunny couldn't wait for her to make a decision, but lets it pass and go find the Othermart coupon book. Sunny puts the phone back against his ear to resume his conversation.

"Huh, no, I just needed to ask him something." Sunny said. "What? Don't you have to go to some game later today? You can't come with us this time."

Aubrey snickers softly at the thought of Kel arguing with Sunny.
