"The beach?"

"Yeah! The beach! Doesn't that sound fun?"

Inside the house of Sunny and Aubrey, Sunny, Aubrey, Kel, and Basil were all sitting around the dining room table chatting amongst themselves. Since Kel and Basil were already hanging out, they decided to visit the couple just for the hell of it. Since Sunny had to leave to work soon, he couldn't stick around for long, but Aubrey appreciated the company. While the group were talking about past summer memories, Kel brings up the topic of going to the beach. Naturally, everyone else's mood dampens for some reason.

"Huh? What's wrong everyone?" Kel asks, shocked at his friend's reactions. "Doesn't it sound fun? Why do you guys look so glum?"

"I got work." Sunny said. "It will be hard for me to take off, you know."

"Ok, I get Sunny, but how about you guys?" Kel asks Aubrey and Basil.

"Well..." Aubrey mutters.

"Uh..." Basil stutters.

"Hey, Basil, didn't you buy a new camera?" Kel asks, putting Basil on the spot. "You can bring your camera with you and maybe we can take a ride from Polly if we ask!"

"I guess." Basil said with a wavering voice. "But, that's not what I was..."

"Sunny! You have been working for three weeks straight and didn't get to enjoy a bit of your summer!" Kel said while pointing his finger at Sunny. "Don't you think it's about time to relax a bit?"

"I mean, it would be nice." Sunny hesitantly said. "But, me and Aubrey need the money."

"Aubrey! You like the beach! We can go swimming, lay in the sand, and have a picnic." Kel exclaims. "I'll even bring watermelon!"

"Watermelon?" Aubrey asks gulping. "No, wait, that's not the point."

"I'll invite Hero and Kim too, it'll be fun!" Kel persuades. "C'mon guys, what do you say?"

Sunny was silent while Aubrey and Basil groaned in annoyance. Kel's overwhelming positivity about the topic was a bit much for the pair to handle.

"Sunny and Aubrey can also see each other in bathing suits too!" Kel adds.

POW!

Aubrey leans forward and socks Kel in the face, shocking both Sunny and Basil.

"That's the last thing that came to my mind." Aubrey yells blushing with embarrassment.

Despite Aubrey's anger, that was the first thing that popped up into her head when she thought of going to the beach. Kel and Basil didn't need to know that and definitely not Sunny. Kel gets up and casually shakes off the pain with relative ease. Sunny and Basil are in awe at how sturdy Kel is and wonder if getting punched by Aubrey one too many times will give you a level up in endurance. Either that or Aubrey is pulling her punches on Kel which should not to be the case.

"But you gotta admit the beach sounds fun." Kel complains.

Everyone, despite their previous reactions, couldn't deny Kel's idea as a fun time. The idea itself wasn't bad, but Kel brought this topic up at a bad time.

"Well, in that case, since you're so eager, why don't you go and make a plan." Sunny suggests looking at the clock. "I need to go to work so you three can come up with something."

"It's time for you to go already?" Kel whines.

"Someone needs to earn some cash and someone else needs to do the chores around this house." Aubrey said with a heavy sigh. "That's our happy life."
