He heard her quiet, "whispered" cheers from the lobby as she was coming down the hallway, meaning, she had gotten the job. Her heels clicked against the tile floor as she speed walked towards him, too excited as she just wanted to let everything she wanted to say, out."Did you get the job?" he asked her even though he knew the answer. "I did! I did! I'm going to be starting in two days! They said they loved everything about me and that they didn't mind me being late because they should've at least given me a heads up about the stupid stairs but that doesn't matter! I got the job!" she was blabbering on and on but it seemed like he didn't care because he was listening to every word she was saying.
"Tell me Akaashi, am I going to be seeing you more often?" she said, a smile on her face as she leaned against the counter, her elbows propped up on the shiny counter top. "Only in the mornings, L/n." he rolled his seat a bit closer to the desk, hearing her chuckle as she quickly went through her purse and brought out a sticky note with a pen.
"Akaashi, it would make my day even better if I got your number." she tilted the two items in her hand towards him, his fingers gently taking the sticky note and pen from her as a small smiled played on his lips while he wrote his number down. "Are you..trying to flirt with me?" he asked her, his eyes on the small piece of paper as he added a small little heart on the bottom right corner along with a smiley face.
"Precisely! Only to a cutie like you!"
"A cutie like me? I'm far from cute." he looked up at her, watching her eyes roll as he passed her back the sticky note and pen. "Fine, if you're not cute.." she started to say, putting the sticky note and pen back in her purse. "Then you're pretty and you can't refuse!" she put up a finger right up before he opened his mouth. The two looked at each other with cheesy smiles, their eyes almost glowing before they heard her phone ring.
"I'll see you in two days Akaashi!" she said, getting her phone out as this time she walked to the elevator, her heart racing more than she could imagine, her heart racing just by the small interaction she had with him, her heart racing just made her smile like a teenage girl in love.
"See you in two days L/n." he said back to her, watching her wave goodbye before she entered the elevator. He felt his cheeks burn with a heating sensation, he was lucky there was no one else in the lobby or else they might've saw how flustered he was.
"She's so.."

"Cute!"
She was walking down back to her apartment building as she passed by an owner with their dog. "Your dog is so cute!" she said as the owner of the dog thanked her before the two continued to their destinations. She had on a beige skirt, a white ruffled crop top, short heels with white stockings to match her shirt along with her crocheted strawberry tote bag on her shoulders.
She was heading to the cafe that was just a block away before she headed to work. She didn't take any transportation because her apartment building was only a ten minute walk from her job. When she went inside, she was always greeted as a regular, the employees there always knew what time she was coming in because she would come in everyday, at the same time no matter what.
"Y/n! It's nice to see you again!" this day was sunny, just two days after her interview. It was nice and warm in the morning, surprisingly. "It's nice to see you too!" she smiled at the cafe workers, her regular order already in front of her as she payed. She said her thanks before blindly choosing a booth to sit at. She placed her bag to the side and her order on the table in front of her.
"L/n?" she heard from in front of her, looking up from her lap and staring right into his green, emerald like eyes. "Akaashi! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sit here, it was by accident—" she said, starting to grab her things as he stood up and gently placed his hands on her shoulders to get her to stop.
"It's fine, you can sit here." Akaashi smiled lightly at her as she slowly nodded her head, feeling a bit embarrassed while her eyes moved back and forth from him and to his inside of the cafe. "I thought you were going to call me." he said, lifting up his cup of coffee and placing it between his lips to take a sip.
"I forgot! I'm sorry! My friend had called me right after and it totally went passed my mind! Here, i'll give you my number!" she said, looking through her bag as she tried looking for her phone but it seemed like it wasn't there. "I don't have it, sorry."
"It's fine, do you remember it at least? Your number?"
"Yeah! I do!" she said, her eyes lighting up as he passed her his phone. He could see how shaky her hands were, maybe because she was nervous or maybe her hands were always shaky. "I got it!" she passed it back to him. "I'll call you when I get home." he said, standing up and smiling at her as she looked a bit lost.
"Where are you going?"
"Where else would I go? I have to get to work right?" he chuckled at her question as her eyes widened. "Oh yeah, I forgot.." she mumbled. "Do you want to walk together?" he asked, looking over his shoulder and to the busy street before glancing back at her who had already stood up.
"Sure, I just want to eat this before we go."
"Then i'll wait for you."
