'Is this..considered a date?!'

They both thought, glancing at each other as they smiled. The bottom of their shoes brushing against the soil underneath the set of swings. 'We're just at the park.' she thought to herself, slowly nodding her head as she bit her lip.

"We should get ice cream next." Akaashi suggested, his words caused her to quickly nod her head, earning a faint chuckle from him. "We most definitely should!" she smiled at him, swinging her feet while he glanced around.

The park was mostly filled with children that came with their parents or grandparents, leaving them the only two young adults there. "Let's go on a walk." he suggested, turning his head back to her and staring into her eyes. "There's a lake nearby, we can walk around there." she said, watching him nod his head as they both stood up, their shoulders brushing against each others.

He followed after her since she knew the way better than he did. "I would come here a lot with my Mom, kinda like how we are right now. Go to the park then go to the lake on warm days!" Y/n said in a cheerful voice. "There's also a river nearby where we can swim in too." she started to ramble on, his eyes only set on her and her only.

An unnoticed smile played on his lips as he listen to her talk about her childhood life. As the both of them walked, the sky started to dim, the clouds got heavier and the streets started to puddle with rain. Their heart sank at the sudden change if weather, both of them quickly found a store and went inside before any of them could get soaked.

"I'm so glad we were near here!" Y/n said, sitting on the window ledge as he nodded his head. "I don't think it's going to stop any time soon." he said, looking around the store before noticing it was a restaurant. "We can eat while we wait." he suggested, making her turn to face him. "I wouldn't mind a meal."

It stopped raining after two hours but the two didn't notice because of how deep they were in their conversation. They were already done with their food, surviving on the drops of what's left on their drinks before noticing.

"It stopped raining!" Y/n said, looking out at the window. She got out her wallet, getting ready to pay but he was already handed the check minutes ago. "L/n, I already paid—"

"When?! And you didn't have to! I was going to pay!"

"No, no, no! It was my idea Y/n. I didn't mind paying either way." Akaashi said with a smile, warming her heart before realizing he used her first name. "Sorry, I meant L/n." he quickly apologized but she didn't say anything until a few seconds later.

"It's okay, I really don't mind. I was thinking if we could uhm..start using our first names?" Y/n asked in a whisper, his eyes slightly widening and nodding his head in agreement. "I would love to, now let's go back to our walk or go back somewhere else? This food is kind of making me sleepy." he chuckled.

"I was thinking the same thing, and let's go to your place."

"I'll just warn you right now..my cat is a hugger to new people." Akaashi said, watching her laugh as they both exited out the restaurant and he started walking towards his place. "So am I! We'll definitely become great friends!" she smiled.

'She's so pretty when she smiles.'
