'He's still sleeping..'

Y/n popped her head into the room, glancing at Akaashi who had his eyes closed, still in a deep sleep. "Is he up yet?" her mother asked, scaring her as she almost let out a loud gasp. "No! And don't scare me like that!" Y/n whispered.

"Sorry." her mother chuckled. "I'll let him sleep more, he's been taking later shifts." Y/n said, quietly closing the door and stepping away as her mother walked away with a smile. "I'm glad my daughter found someone so charming and sweet!" M/n said as Y/n froze.

"Mom..he's not my boyfriend. Just someone I met at work—"

"Oh really? You two seem to like each other so much it was almost believable if you didn't tell me." M/n said with a frown. "I mean I wouldn't mind dating him, but it's too soon. He's very sweet— you know the story he said yesterday? We actually met at the cafe!"

"He definitely likes you! Y/n this is great! You can finally get a boyfriend!" her mother teased her as Y/n's jaw dropped. "What do you mean finally? I was waiting for the right one!" Y/n scoffed.

"Well the right one is just in your room!" M/n pointed towards the hallway as Akaashi was just opening the door. "Morning.." he rubbed his eyes, his hair pointing out at all different sides as Y/n chuckled. "Good morning! I have a set of clothes and a tooth brush in the bathroom for you."

"Thank you." he gave her a light smile before heading to the bathroom. Once she heard the door close she went back to the living room where her mother was. "Have him over again, I like him." M/n said, surprising Y/n.

"Again?!"

"Don't be surprised! You're the one who lied to me about him being your boyfriend! Only a mother can dream about their daughters finally getting in a relationship!"

Akaashi quietly chuckled behind the door, overhearing their conversation as he looked himself in the mirror. His hair was all over the place, he wondered if she ever found him cute once he walked out the room. He was thinking all sorts of things, and never once had he had his heart beat so fast before. Maybe in occasions where he was nervous but never with a girl.

'I'll go ask her out on a date..maybe..No I will.' he said to himself, brushing his teeth as he tried fixing his hair with his other hand. He couldn't help but fight back a smile just by thinking of her ever since they met. He was actually willing to come to work just to talk to her in the morning before anyone else could and say goodbye to her as she left.

He placed his ear near the door, trying to hear what else they were saying but he couldn't. He thought they might've moved to the kitchen instead of the living room. 'She makes my heart beat so fast..' he started blush, noticing it in the mirror as he was finishing up. 'I'm going to act so nervous in front of her?! How am I going to be able to talk to her?! Just be normal Akaashi, normal.'

"Mom, I think I like him." she whispered. "Oh wow, I totally didn't know that! You two should definitely go on a date, let's see who breaks and confesses first." M/n said, turning around as she placed the bowl of strawberries on the table. "Stop being sarcastic! This is a real problem i'm dealing with! What if I act embarrassing and he see's it?"

"Then he wouldn't care if he likes you."

"Oh you have strawberries?" the two froze as Akaashi looked over Y/n's shoulder. "Why are your footsteps so quiet?! That could scare anyone!" Y/n said with a scared expression on her face, wondering if he heard anything that she said. "I just walk lightly, don't like making too much noise." he said with a smile before sitting next to her.

"Oh alright, by the way we should get going, you probably want to be home right now—"

"I was sort of hoping to spend the day with you, I mean it is the weekend."
