"Good morning Y/n. Did you sleep well?"

'He's like sweet strawberries covered with honey. Such a sweet.' she smiled at the thought in her head, walking closer towards his desk and laying her hands on the counter top. "I slept very well actually! I slept like a baby!" she giggled.

"How'd you sleep Keiji?" she tilted her head, tapping her finger against the wood and waiting for his answer. "Okay, I slept okay. I couldn't really sleep last night, there was this couple arguing all night and they were yelling so much!" Akaashi let out a tired groan, rubbing his eyes. She could see the eye bags under his eye lashes before his hands covered them.

"Take an early leave and get some rest!" she said, walking around the desk and bringing him into a hug. He froze from the sudden touch, soon wrapping his arms around her and laying his head on her chest since he was sitting down. "Y/n, why are you hugging me?" he mumbled, feeling her laugh.

"You seem like you needed a hug, I don't want to say this but..you looked tired 'Kaashi."

His cheeks warmed up, the butterflies in his stomachs were flying around, hitting all spots of his softness as he smiled at the nickname. "Cute." he whispered to himself but she heard. "Cute?" she repeated the word, pulling away from him and leaning on the edge of the desk.

Y/n met his emerald eyes, the way they glistened only for her, though she didn't know just yet. "The nickname, it's cute. I've never had a nickname before." his words surprised her and he could see it on her face. "Really? Your past girlfriends never said that to you?"

"I also never had a girlfriend before.." he mumbled out, turning away from her as she gasped, her hand slapping his shoulder before she placed them on the side of his arms and making him face her. Akaashi had a small pout on his face, his eyes looking away from her but she moved her head in every direction he was looking.

"You never ever had a girlfriend?! What?! You're so charming and sweet, how could you not? If I went to high school with you, I would've been your girlfriend! I probably would've been your first admirer, Keiji!" he thought she must've been joking about the girlfriend part, maybe about the admirer part too but the look in her eyes..she was dead serious.

"Oh you're not kidding." he said, the blush on his cheeks grew even more pink as the tip of his ears reddened. "I am not! Most definitely not kidding Keiji! You should definitely be in a relationship right now, there is no way you are single! I mean look at you!" she spoke with a bright smile, crossing her feet while her eyes turned into crescents.

Oh he could stare at her all day. She was just too beautiful for his eyes.

"Y/n—"

"I mean there had to be at least one girl who liked you! She must've thought you were cute! Oh maybe you were a hallway crush, you would've been my hallway crush—"

"Y/n!" he said her a name a bit louder, quieting her quickly as he shrunk into his chair, feeling the embarrassment in the air. "Yes?" she finally looked at him again, watching him fiddle with his fingers. "I wouldn't mind if you were my—" he was immediately cut off by the call of Y/n's name.

"L/n! The meeting is about to start! Hurry!" her co-worker said to her as Y/n gasped. "I'm sorry Keiji! We can finish this during my lunch break! I'll see you later!" she stood up from the desk, giving him a quick hug before running towards her colleague, leaving Akaashi stunned at his own self because of what he was going to say next.

"Oh my god..my heart is racing so bad." he finally let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding in for so long. Akaashi then placed his hand over his heart and feeling how fast it was beating.

"Bro you are whipped. I was standing here, calling your name but it was like you two were in Lala land." Akaashi flinched at the sudden voice, turning around in his chair to see his one and only best friend. "Bokuto what the fuck.." Akaashi grabbed his water and started drinking it as Bokuto laughed at him. "What are you doing here? Don't you have somewhere to be like uh practice?"

"Not now! I'm free until three! So tell me, who is she?"
