She typed his number as she was hesitating to call him, wondering if he actually was going to pick up. Wondering if he too, had her number saved and was hesitating to call her like she was at the moment. Wondering if she would even press that button, waiting for the call to start.

And at that moment, a number called her. She was laying on her bed, under her blanket as the moon light poured into her dark room while the curtains swayed by the nightly breeze. She looked at the unknown number, the digits matching the ones she just typed in. "Hello..?" Y/n mumbled into the phone, sitting up as she brought her knees to her chest.

"L/n..right? I hope she didn't give me the wrong number.."

She chuckled by his choice of words. "No, it's me. Y/n here." she said, hearing him let out a relieved sigh. She laid back down onto her bed, putting the call on speaker before connecting her charger. "Sorry for calling so late..you were heading to sleep right?" Akaashi said, fumbling with his keys that Y/n heard from the background of the call.

"Yeah, but I don't mind staying up just a bit more."

"Sorry, I just got out of work..i'm heading home now."

"Then call me when you get home Akaashi, I don't mind waiting!"

"See, I thought of that but I thought you might've already went to sleep. I wanted to call you right after."  he said, sitting in his car as the street lights beamed against his face, creating a warm hue on the front seats. "And you might've been right." she spoke with a light smile on her face, letting out a faint yawn afterwards.

"How about I see you in the morning L/n? I'll let you sleep."

"Oh no it's fine I swear—"

"Goodnight L/n, have a great sleep. I'll see you tomorrow." she heard him say with a chuckle before he ended the call. She laid there for a bit, trying to process what he just said, then turning over and sinking her head into her pillow.

"Goodnight.."

He spun his spoon around the coffee cup, listening to it clink against the ceramic as the cafe door swung open. "Good morning!" her sweet voice echoed in the small area as the employees all turned to give her a welcome. "Morning L/n!" they all said to her. His eyes watching her reach over to the counter and grab her usual order before turning around and meeting his eyes.

"Good morning Akaashi!" she said with a wide smile, quietly tip-toeing over to him then sitting on the chair in front of him as he grinned. "Good morning L/n, how was your sleep?" he asked her, bringing his cup up to his lips and taking a sip of his coffee. She hummed, scooting closer to the table as he took notice of the gold rings she had on her fingers.

"It was good! How was yours?"

"Mmh, I feel like I still need to rest."

"I thought you said you were fine with your sleep schedule?" she chuckled, tapping his shoulder as he looked down at his coffee cup with a faint smile before meeting her eyes once more. "I am, just sometimes it gets the best of me."

"Mkay, whatever you say. Just make sure you get some rest Akaashi." she tilted her head to the side, grinning as her eyes closed. "It's Friday, do you have anything planned after work?" she asked him, opening her eyes as he slowly nodded his head. "I'm getting off work early today— somewhere around your leaving time and i'm going to meet some of my old high school friends." he said to her.

"Really? That must sound fun! When was the last time you guys saw each other?"

"About a month ago. Do you have anything planned L/n?"

"No not really! I'm just staying home." she lightly sighed. "You should come with me, i'm sure they wouldn't mind you coming." Akaashi said before taking a sip of his coffee. "Are you sure? It only sounds like a friend thing and I wouldn't want to interrupt."

"It'll be fine. They're nice, i'm sure they would love you. How about I pick you up after work and we'll go to together."

"It kinda sounds like you're talking about a date Akaashi."

"I wouldn't mind."
