"Good morning Y/n."

"Morning!" the two were back at work in the early morning, both of them giving each other a warm smile as they spoke. "Did you have anything for breakfast yet?" she asked him, holding a bag of baked goods behind her back as he shook his head.

"No, I didn't really have any time to." he said to her. "Good— well not good but good! I bought a bit too much so you can enjoy these while your here. There's muffins and some bread." she said, sliding the bag against the counter top.

"Oh you didn't have to..but thank you."

"It's no problem! I'll see you later Keiji!" she started to step away from the lobby, giving him a wave goodbye as she walked into the empty hallway that head to her work office. If she were to turn around, she would see the delighted, flustered expression on his face with a very, very, noticeable blush.

"My heart's beating way too fast.."

"Mom! I want to go on a date with him but for real this time!"

"Then ask him out..? What are you doing telling me! Call him and ask him! I'm sure he'd go with you!" she heard her mother sigh through the phone. "But what if he says no?!" Y/n started to whine as she held the blanket around her body.

"But what if I die without any grandkids?!"

"You did not!" Y/n let out a dramatic gasp. "And I did! Now go ask him out already and stop complaining to me! Good night Y/n!" the phone call quickly ended, leaving Y/n speechless as she was left staring at her phone. "Fine! I will call him!" she said, staring at her mother's contact information and letting out a scoff before looking for Akaashi's name.

But his name had already appeared on the screen before she could find his.

"He's calling me..Wait he's calling me?!" she fumbled her phone between her hands, her eyes widening as it dropped on top of her bed. Y/n picked it back up and answered his call.

"Hey!" she said, cringing at her tone of voice as she slowly dropped herself on her bed. "Hi Y/n, I hope you aren't busy." Akaashi said, fiddling with the hem of his shirt. "No! Not at all! What were you..calling me for?" she sat up.

"Are you free this Saturday?"

"Yup! Very free!" she said without a second thought, looking at her calendar and noticing she actually had family parties to go to. "What is it that you need?"

"I was just asking because..I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me." Akaashi bit his tongue as he heard the phone call end. "Did she hang up..?" he mumbled to himself, looking down at his phone screen as he wondered what just happened.

"Mom he asked me on a date!" Y/n ran around her room, jumping up and down with joy. "Did you say yes—" Y/n gasped. "..I hung up..I'll call you after! Bye!"

'What is wrong with my child..?!'

After a few second later, Akaashi received a phone call, specifically from her and quickly answer. "Sorry I hung up! I got too excited but yes, I would love to go on a date with you Keiji!" he could hear the happiness tone in her voice, a smile appearing on his lips just by listening to her speak.

"I'm glad to hear. Have a goodnight Y/n."

"Night Keiji, sleep well!"
