Your POV
Hi there, my name is (Y/N) (L/N), and... well, I don't have a lot of friends. My parents couldn't understand why, but I believe I know what the problem is. I'm too strict for my own good. They say you should be fine the way you are, but I've always been alone because of it. I just wish that there was someone out there who thinks just like me.
However, little did I know my wish was going to come true after all. School was done for the day, and I began to head home as soon as possible, so I could get a head start on studying for a test I have. As I was making my way home, I spaced out and bumped into someone.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" She said.
"Apologizes." I said. "I was thinking about something and didn't pay attention..."
I got a good look at the person I bumped into. It was a girl who appears to be my age. She had long teal hair and slanted green eyes. We stared at each other for a while, and then spoke up.
"Oh, umm... excuse me." I said and quickly walked away. Who was that girl, and will I see her again?
______________________________________A few days later...
Location - Public Library
I found myself studying again as the week went on. This time I was at the library. One of my teachers asked us to do a report on an animal that they picked out for us. I was asked to do a report on the Red Wolf. I began looking for books on the animal, but it was harder than I thought.
As I was looking through the animal section, I spotted that girl again. I did my best to ignore her, but she spotted me anyway.
"Hey, I remember you." She said.
"Y-Yeah, it's me." I said nervously.
"I must apologize for my previous outburst." She said.
"No need to apologize." I told her. "I wasn't looking where I was going."
"I think it might be a good idea to start over."
"Me too. My name is (Y/N) (L/N)."
"And my name is Hikawa Sayo."
"Wait, Sayo? As in... the guitarist from Roselia?" I asked.
"Yes. I've take it you've seen some of Roselia's performance?" Sayo asked.
"Well, not in person, but yeah, I have. I would think you girls are amazing at what you do." I replied.
"Appreciate the kind words, but I'm afraid we have a long way to go in order to get to the top." She said.
"I see."
"But I'm not here to talk about Roselia. I'm here to get some homework done." She said.
"Really? That's what I'm doing as well."
"I see. What do you have to do?" Sayo asked.
"I have to write a two-page report on the Red Wolf." I said. "I was hoping the library might have a book or two on it."
"In that case, I recommend giving this book a try." Sayo said before giving it to me.
"This might work. Thanks, Sayo."
"Don't mention it."
Sayo gave me a smile, and for some reason, it was lovely to look at. I began to snap out of it. After all, I promise myself I wouldn't get involved with romance.
"So Sayo, what kind of homework you had to do?" I asked.
"Well, there's some math homework I had to get done, but I can't seem to figure out the problems." She said.
"How about I help you?" I asked.
"You don't mind?"
"Not at all. I've been told that I'm great at math, so I should be able to help you out."
Sayo smiled again.
"That would be much appreciated."
______________________________________That evening...
Location - Residential Area
Sayo and I spent the whole afternoon studying the in the library. I got a chance to work on my paper, and Sayo was able to finish her math homework. She did most of it, and I made sure to help the parts she was struggling on.
Once we were done, Sayo and I exited out of the library and I decided to walk her home, as it was getting late.
"I can't remember the last time I had someone studying with me." Sayo said.
"Oh, do you often study by yourself?" I asked.
"I do, but sometimes, my sister would come into my room and studying with me."
"That must be nice, having a sister and all." I said.
"Do you have any siblings?" Sayo asked.
"No, I don't." I replied. "My parents always assume I'm lonely, but I'm just dedicated to my studies."
"Being devoted to school huh?" Sayo questioned before smiling again.
"I like that."
"Really? Well, thank you."
Our conversation went on until I was able to bring Sayo safely home. I couldn't believe I was able to find someone just like me. But I guess you never know, huh?
