Hi there, my name is (Y/N) (L/N). I'm a first year high school student, and I think I have a pretty good life. I'm good friends with this girl named Kurata Mashiro and her friends in this girl band named Morfonica. We became friends after seeing their concerts several times. The guitarist, Kirigaya Touko, was the one who approached me first, and she kept begging me to be friends with everyone. I wasn't sure at the beginning, but after giving it some thought, I decided to it couldn't hurt.

However, as the weeks go by, I discovered that I have more in common with Mashiro than I do with the other girls. Both of us are pretty shy, and we have a soft spot for fluffy mascots like Michelle and Marie. Mashiro has an interesting way at looking at life, and I'm proud to call her my friend. But the closer we got, the more protective I became. And that will cost me everything...

Beginning of December...

Location - Shopping Mall

Christmas was right around the corner. To celebrate, we decided to have our very own Christmas party. We're holding it at Nanami's place, and her parents say that they didn't mind.

Mashiro and I were walking around the shopping mall to soak in that Christmas feeling. A lot of stores were already ready for their Christmas deals.

"It makes you feel like Christmas is here, huh?" Mashiro said.

"Yeah, and one day closer to that Christmas party of ours." I replied.

"I'm surprised that Rui-san even agreed to do a Christmas party." She continued.

"Yeah, but we know how stubborn Touko is when she wants to do somethimg."

Mashiro giggled cutely.

"Yeah, that's true."

As we continued to walk around, two girls came over to Mashiro.

"Excuse me, but are you the vocalist from Morfonica?" One asked.

"Y-Yeah, I am." She nervously gave them a response.

"I knew it was you!" She said.

"We saw Morfonica's last show, and we fell in love with your voice!" The other girl said.

"Really? Thank you." The shy vocalist said as she starts to blush with embarassment.

"We look forward to Morfonica's next show." The first girl said.

"Make sure to let us know." The other girl said.

"Yeah, sure thing." She said with a small smile.

The two girls walked away. As they were out of earshot, my overprotective side began to kick in.

"Were you okay, Mashiro?" I asked.

"Yeah, I guess so." She replied.

"You weren't feeling pressured, were you?" I asked.

"No, I promise that I'm completely fine." Mashiro said as her expression changed.

"If you say so." I said, then I heard an unexpected response from Mashiro.

"Sometimes you being overprotective is so annoying."

"Mashiro, I-"

"Forget it. Let's just go home."

Hearing that made my heart break. I never heard that kind of response from Mashiro. Soon the two of us began to leave the mall, but I guess you could say that it was rather awkward.
