Your POV

It was quiet at my house. My parents are busy with work as usual, and I am in my bedroom doing homework as I normally do. While doing my homework, I hear a knock at the front door.

I went downstairs to go open it, and to my surprise, it was Wakaba Mutsumi. She stared at me with a soft smile, and she was holding a small box in her hand.

"Hi Mutsumi, what brings you here?" I asked.

She put the box in my hand.

"It's an early Christmas present." She replied and stared at me, expecting me to open it.

"But it's November, though." I said in confusion.

"I know, but... this is one gift that couldn't wait until Christmas." She said.

"I see."

I opened my gift, and saw that it was a heart-shape locket.

"Is this for me?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Yeah. Look inside."

I did what she said and opened it, and I saw that it was a picture of us inside.

"Isn't this picture..."

Mutsumi nodded.

"Yes. This was taken on the day we met."

She put her hand on her heart as she keeps on talking.

"You were the best friend I have ever made in a long time." She said.

"Is that so?"

"Yeah, ever since I lost Soyo, I haven't been able to become closer with anyone, not even Sakiko."

"I see."

Mutsumi came closer and gave me a soft kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you for always being there for me." She said.

"Hehe, yeah, no problem." I said as my cheeks turned red with embarrassment.

I took a deep breath before speaking again.

"Since you're here, how about you come inside, and we can have some hot chocolate?" I suggested.

Mutsumi nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea with me."

She stepped inside my house, and we enjoyed each other's company for the rest of the day.
