Chapter 17: Night out

Maya's pov:

Tw: Quick mention in a phrase of why Maya cut herself. Not graphic at all just a little mention. But still.

I was a little anxious for my mom. Her text said that she wasn't feeling good. That she had a pain in the arm, which is a sign of heart attacks. We went to the penthouse she bought when I moved out. Arrived there my mom, pared with a beautiful black dress greeted me.

Me: Mom? I thought you-

Mom: I'm fine come in.

When we walked in the lights were off, I walked in then they went on, discovering all of my childhood friends there. The girls who treated me like shit, my ex and the children of my mom's friend. 

Mom: Let's go upstairs so you can go change into your party outfit!

She dragged me upstairs letting Hailee and Austin getting stared at.

Mom: So there is your dress get dressed and tell me when you are done.

Me: Mom?!

Mom: What?

Me: Oh nothing! Oh wait! You told me you thought you were having a heart attack and then you just tell me that you organized a party for me with all the people I hate being there.

Mom: I wanted to put you around better people!

Me: What?!

Mom: You went to the hospital! You cut...

Me: Wow! I did that once! And out of anger okay! I was cutting paper and I just took a angry swing at my arm! That was a one time thing! 

Mom: Still!

Me: But it's not their fault!

Mom: It is. Get dressed.

I was pissed but I did what she asked me anyway. I got in a tight black dress and hills. I went down stairs seeing Hailee and Austin both dressed in something else then before I left them, Hailee was wearing a white dress and Austin was wearing a burgundy suit with a white shirt.

Me: Oh my god, when did you get that?

Hailee: Your mother gave us that.

Me: How did she knew your size...

Hailee: I'd rather not know.

Then my old friends came to me. The blond and blue eyed one, Maddy, the bitch who made the bet with Hayden. Then her little pet named Carrie, brown eyes, brown hair, perfectly tan,  she was basically brainless. And the third one was a dirty blond, browned eyed girl named Talia, she was the innocent one, she was a follower and didn't dare say no to Maddy. 

Maddy: Oh my god! Hiiii!

She hugged me and I pushed her. Did she forgot what happen last time when she came to Hailee and I's appartement? The yelling, the anxiety attack, the fight...

Maddy: I missed you! I'm sorry for what happened last time. But water under the bridge right?

Me: Um...no.

Maddy: Oh come on!

Me: I didn't forget what you did before. 

Maddy: I was young! 

Me: It was a few month ago. Anyway I don't wanna talk to you, so move. 

Carrie: Well yeah a few month are like 200 days!

Me: What?

Maddy: Shut up Carrie. You can't possibly be mad at me Maya!

Talia: I mean we were bitches towards her. She has a reason to be mad...
