Chapter 11: The dinner

Mom: So I'm waiting.

They were all looking at me, I didn't know what to answer. Yeah hi mom so my friends from home played me, my ex boyfriend was there because of a bet and tried to rape me also this is Hailee my best friend who helps me deal with deep anxiety attacks and this is Austin a guy I kissed to make the guy at my left jealous. And the guy at my left is my boyfriend and we had sex last night. This was definitely not a good answer.

Me: They're...people mom.

Matthew: I'm meeting your mother?!

He ran out of the room.

Mom: Who's that weirdly educated child and why is he so nervous?

Hailee: Hi Maya's mom I'm Hailee her best friend, it's nice to meet you.

Mom: Finally someone with manners. Well the pleasure is mine Hailee. Maya please tell me who those two boys are. Maybe Maddy will tell me.

Maddy was my best friend. Old best friend. The one who made Hayden take the bet.

Me: What? She's not coming is she?

Mom: Oh am I stupid this was a surprise!

Hailee: And Maddy is..?

Mom: Well her best friend!

Me: Yes. Hailee. That one.

Hailee: The one who...

Austin: Oh...

Mom: Is there something I'm don't know about? Let's pass on that. Maya what are you wearing? I'm disappointed. Go dress better. And position! Don't be rude. Also Maya I am not loving the language you're employing.

Austin: I'm way too sober for this.

Mom: For god sakes! Who is that man?!

Me: My friend Austin. Austin this is my mom. Mom this is Austin.

Mom: He's not the kind of people I want you to frequent.

Austin: Aww thank you!

Matthew came back into the room wearing black pants and a white shirt. He was perfumed. He came into the room and went to my mom.

Matthew: Excuse me for the rudeness Madame, I wasn't properly dress to meet you while showing respect. My name is Matthew Grey, I'm Maya's...

Me: Friend!

Matthew: Yes. Exactly I'm her friend.

Mom: Well I like this young man better. I'm having lunch with you what are you cooking?

Hailee: It's 10 am give me a break. I mean...I'm ordering a pizza today.

Mom: Oh so you're that kind of person. And Maya please for the love of god go dress properly.

I went to my room putted a white dress, lipstick and hills. I brushed my hair, putted parfum. I was thinking of everything that was happening right now. Matthew got that I couldn't tell my mom I had a boyfriend, Hailee was already getting criticized for not being Maddy and Austin was well...Austin. I went back to the room hearing not a word in the leaving room. No one was talking not surprising knowing my mom criticize every thing you're doing wrong all the time.

Me: I'm back.

Mom: There now you look like my daughter.

Matthew was looking at me up and down, looking every inch of my body. He placed his tumb on his lower lips before smirking before looking away.

Hailee was coming back from the bathroom, she too was wearing a dress. Austin was wearing the same thing he wore the day before, green pants with a white shirt. I grabbed Hailee's arm as she walked in the room.
