I didn't think it was possible for Renzo to get any more attractive than he already is, but I was greatly mistaken. The man was once again in a well tailored suit, but this time it was all black. Black slacks, black button down, and black jacket. Even his shoes were black and looked expensive. His hair was only partially styled which looked really good on him.
Those sharp eyes met mine from across the room and my breath caught in my throat. I quickly turned back to Rocco to compose myself before Renzo could fully approach.
Rocco slid his hands off the table and leaned back into the booth seat. "Ciao" he smirked at his approaching brother. I looked down at my own hands in my lap, but I had to look up when two shiny shoes stopped right beside me. Renzo stood over six feet so my neck had to crank back to be able to look at him properly.
From this close all his best features are obvious again. Broad shoulders, fabric pulling slightly from his firm chest and arms, and his face...just everything about his face. His eyes always seemed shadowed and mysterious to me. His lips were beautiful as was his bone structure. His jaw kept his looks masculine and his hands looked like capable hands. Hands that would know how to touch you.
"You've returned" Renzo spoke first. I was just staring at the man. His all black outfit was doing things to my insides that I wasn't accustomed to. He was like walking sex. I've never described someone that way before, but that's what he is. Sex and sins and everything that's dangerous about the world. It's breathtaking.
"Yes...I need-" I sighed, almost feeling pathetic for asking for this job I so quickly denied the first time it was offered to me. Rocco knocked on the table and stood up. "I'll leave you to it. It was nice meeting you, Kat" the man gave me his smile and I politely responded before he disappeared in the back again.
Renzo took the man's place opposite me at the table, and he leaned back on the booth seat with one arm draped over the back. His position was relaxed. His legs in a wide stance. I could tell even without seeing much of it from underneath the table. My goodness he looks good. His eyes studied me and I realized he was waiting for me to continue speaking.
"Renzo, I need a job" I got straight to the point. I hate how his presence makes me nervous. It can't be healthy for my heart to beat this quickly. With the hand that wasn't draped over the seat he brought his thumb up to his bottom lip and trailed the tip of it along the seam. Also attractive.
"I thought you said that place wasn't a good fit for you?" He was clearly going to make me work for this. I don't have the time for that. I am desperate. "I did...a gentlemen's club is...a lot for me, but I am in serious need of a job and you were right when you told me no one was hiring, so" I trailed off, letting him fill in the blanks.
Those watercolor blue's trailed over my white tube top without shame at all. It made me squirm and adjust my top. He licked his lips and looked back up at me. "I see" was all he said.
Panic started to fill me. If he takes his offer back then I am royally screwed. My fight or flight instincts kicked in and I just started listing off everything that was wrong with my life right now, and why he really needs to give me this job.
In a ramble I stated, "Please, I need this. My rent is due and I don't have the funds to pay both rent and groceries. I ate dry cereal for dinner last night and I haven't even eaten today. And I'll have to move back home- when I tried so hard to venture out on my own, which Val isn't helping me with at all, so now I am living with strangers, and I walked all day long in these darn sandals trying to apply for jobs, so my feet hurt and my head hurts and I am on the verge of crying. Yep, I'm crying" I wiped my cheeks.
