I was seeing red. Probably from the blood that was pumping too quickly through my veins. Every part of me wanted to destroy Moretti the first time he ever dared touch Kat. I warned him. I fucking warned him I wouldn't take kindly to a second attempt.

That text was a challenge I am willing to accept. I was fucking vibrating with rage. Any time I picture Gabriele goddamn Moretti touching Kat in any way. His filthy hands, his filthy mouth, his filthy fucking cock. I wanted to rip it off and feed it to him. Make him choke on it.

I can't think of Kat's time spent with him or I literally lose my goddamn mind. It's that fight or flight split second decision that I've mentioned before. I resort to immediate violence. And Gabriele Moretti is the posing threat.

Split second decision, I want to murder him and snatch his empire out from under him. It would be mayhem. Chaos. It would start wars and I don't know if I even care that it would.

I could tell that Kat was very nervous about all this. I know it isn't her fault that he decided to text her, but even the fact that he had her number at all is infuriating. Why did she give him her number if it was meant to be a one night stand? I give numbers to repeat customers.

I know deep within my rational mind, if I even have one, that Kat didn't do anything 'wrong,' because I had done the same thing the same night she did, but my body can't acknowledge that rational fact. I felt betrayed somehow when she gave herself to Moretti. I can barely breathe just thinking about it.

I knew Kat wasn't expecting a text from Moretti, and I do believe her that this was probably the first time it ever happened, but what would she have done if I wasn't here to witness the message? Would she have spoken to him? Would she engage in his obvious flirtation?

Something I did not foresee when entering this pact between us is that I have to trust her too. I always viewed it as her trying to trust me, but I never looked at it the other way. I've never given a shit what other women did with their body or their time, so I didn't have to trust or not trust them. This is new. This was entirely unforeseen.

When I practically lunged for the door after Kat received Moretti's second message my cousin must have anticipated it because he rushed forward and blocked my way. Kat rushed over a second later. I would have plowed through Dante no problem, but with Kat also standing in my way I couldn't exit forcefully.

She is going to have to move. It's the smart choice if she does because I'm so filled with rage I want to destroy something. Not something, him, but he's too far away. Nothing a 4 hour drive can't fix.

"Renzo, please!" Kat pleaded with me for the hundredth time. "Kat, move out of my way" I warned her. "No!" She stood her ground, bouncing from foot to foot to keep me blocked in. My cousin was the wall behind her. "I'm about to put a hole through this goddamn wall. Move!" I gave my second warning. "You better not destroy any more of my property!!"

I wasn't thinking when I spoke next. I was so angry and slipped up when I told her, "I fucking pay for it, I can do what I want with it!!"

Kat's mouth opened and closed. "You pay for it?" Her demeanor quickly shifted from flustered to confused. Shit. I didn't mean to say that. "Renzo, what do you mean you pay for it?" She became fixed on my words.

"Nothing, what I'm saying is let me out" I barked at her. I'll play it off as angry words that she misunderstood. If Kat knew I paid 2 grand a month for this apartment she would freak out. She'd try to move and end up back in a place like she'd lived in before. I don't want that for her.
