Chapter 3: Moving Into Dorms

It's the last day at Melody's house before Peter, Brett, and Katherine move into their college rooms. The 3 of them start loading Peter and Brett's cars. "So, I'm driving Brett's car. Kat's in my car, and Brett's driving the U-Haul. We'll meet up at Kat's dorm as soon as possible." Peter states. "Right," Katherine confirms.

Peter, Brett, and Katherine arrive at the university and Peter tells Katherine and Brett that he's going to go to the front and see if they can check into their dorms yet. A few minutes later Peter returns with some news.

"So, turns out none of the dorms are ready to move into yet and that's not even the worst part. The worst part is that they're not letting any of the students leave, because the roads are blocked off because those smart-those creatures thought it was good idea to start construction the day of the move in." Peter fumed. Peter and Brett start discussing what they're going to do about the night and Katherine since they didn't know whether or not she'd be comfortable sleeping in a car. "I don't want to leave her in a car." Peter states while Katherine has her headphones on, listening to music. "I don't want to leave her either but someone's going to have to watch the van and the other car." Brett explains. Peter tries to think of something. "We'll ask if she's okay with sleeping in a car." Peter states. "Okay." Brett states. "So, I'll stay in your car, you'll stay in the van, and Katherine will stay in my car, if that's what Katherine agrees to." Peter states. A minute later, they call for Katherine. Katherine takes off her headphones and looks at the set of twins. "What are you guys talking about?" Katherine asked. "Katherine, we were wondering if you'd be okay with sleeping in the car, would you be okay with that?" Peter asked. "You guys trust me to stay somewhere by myself? That's a first." Katherine teased. "We know, we know, we just want you to be safe that's all." Brett explains. "I would be okay with sleeping in a car." Katherine says.

The next morning, Katherine woke up to the sound of Peter and Brett chatting about something. They stopped talking as soon as they heard her get up. Peter and Brett exchange looks and Peter gets out of the car and goes towards the school.

"Where's Peter going?" Katherine asked Brett who was on his phone.

"He's going to check and see if we can check-in yet. How'd you sleep?" Brett asked, turning towards her. "Fine, how'd you sleep?" Katherine asked. "I slept alright." Brett states as Peter returns to the car. "So?" Brett asked. "They said we could move-in in about an hour or two." Peter says. Katherine eventually decided to change while the twins were distracted. She changes into a white crop top and shorts and ties her hair in a low ponytail. Just to top off her outfit, she decided to put on the diamond necklace Peter and Brett gave her for her 20th birthday.

Peter and Brett looked at Kat's outfit when she changed and then looked at each other. "What?" Katherine asked. "That's your outfit?" Peter asked her. "Yeah, so?" Katherine inquired. "Where's the rest of it?" Brett asked. "Guys come on. It's not that bad." Katherine states. "Fine...we don't own you, so feel free to wear what you want." Peter states. "Yeah, and we're going to be moving things all day and it's hot outside so I get it if you want to wear that." Brett added. Katherine looks at the twins suspiciously. "What's the catch?" Katherine demanded. The twins exchanged confused looks. They smirk at each other. "The catch is,...you put on some leggings or something longer than what you have on." Peter spoke.

The 3 of them spent the whole day moving in. Around 8PM, they finally finished moving in everything they needed for the night. "We should've believed Aunt Melody when she said it'd take a while to move in." Peter states, while lying on Katherine's bed. "We're not even done yet. We only have half of our dorm done and part of Katherine's." Brett states. "We can finish it tomorrow. I'm way too tired to even think about going back down those stairs and Stephanie will be back soon to head to bed." Katherine states, as she sits at her desk. "Well on that note..." Peter starts, while getting up. "We'll see you in the morning." Peter and Brett head for the door, after they say their goodbyes.
