Chapter 8: Getting Ready

Aaron and the rest of the Revivers gather in a sitting room at Homebase. "So, Aaron, I have to ask, why did you call for this meeting?" Cliff asked his brother. "Yeah, when you and Melody called you didn't give us any detail. You just said it was urgent and needed us at Homebase asap." Summer says, a little skeptical about the whole situation. Aaron sighs and sits down next to Melody and signals her to explain the reason why they were all there. Melody stands up and puts her hands on Aaron's shoulders. "We're here because well we all know Aaron's daughter, Katherine." Melody starts. Peter, Brett, Stephanie, and Cassandra all exchanged looks. Melody stops talking after she notices their confused expressions. "Katherine never told you about her father, did she?" Melody asked, concerned. The 4 of them shake their heads. "Well in her defense, she thought you guys would think differently of her if she told you," Melody says, sitting back down next to Aaron. "Literally, only half of what you said made complete sense." Peter states. "I'm really trying to see where she's coming from, but I just can't." Cassandra says. "I don't know what was going on in her head either, but I know one thing. If Katherine didn't tell you about Aaron, she had a legitimate reason." Melody explains. "Let's get back to the point. We're here because...Katherine died early today." Aaron says in a stern voice and everyone in the sitting room is shocked except for Collins, Melody, and Aaron. "I called this team meeting because she's in The Land of Unfinished Business and we all know who lives there. The Wicked Witch of the West is guaranteed to be there, because I am her unfinished business." Aaron says. "Now, we have to get Katherine back no matter what the cost is. So Lily, you're on outfits for us, Colin and Juliet, you're on coordinates to The Lake of Secrets, Daniel and Cliff, you two go get the weapons from the vault. Finally Summer, I want you to gather everything you think we might need to go to The Witch's House. We leave in two hours, meet me on the jet no later than 6:05AM." Aaron says standing up. The Revivers go do their jobs and Melody and Aaron start talking to the college students. "The reason you 4 are here because, knowing Chloe, she's probably going to give Katherine something that will make her want to stay there and you 4 are her best friends, so hopefully she'll second guess staying there with that witch." Aaron explains. "Okay, that makes sense, but how did Katherine die?" Stephanie asks. "Chloe hired some guys to kill her. This is all they left." Melody states while putting her ring, the vile of blood, and the note down on the coffee table in front of them. Brett takes the ring and Peter and him examine it."...This is her promise ring." Brett states. "If Katherine is a woman of her word, I think convincing her to come home will be the least of our problems." Peter states.

At 6:02AM, everyone is on the jet ready to go. Aaron asked Lily if the outfits were modeled and if she had everything she needed to make them. Lily tells him that she has everything, but she will need help making them. Aaron asked the girls to help her with the outfits and in a few short hours the outfits looked great. All the girl's outfits are red and black dresses and all the guy's outfits are white and black pants, shirts, and jackets. "These outfits look great. You really went all out this time." Melody says.

"Thanks. I had help." Lily says, looking at all the girls. "We're coming into the landing zone." Daniel says as they start to land in a forest near the lake. Once they land everyone gets changed into their outfits and go to The Lake of Secrets. Aaron pulls Colin aside and says "Colin, I don't know what we're going to do if we don't get Katherine back." Colin let out a sigh. "It will work because if it doesn't, not only will everyone here be devastated, but her kids will be devastated as well." Colin states. "Um, speaking of kids." Says a voice, coming from a tree only to reveal that it's Scott. Scott jumps down from the tree to talk to his father.

"What are you doing here?!?!" Colin whisper yells. "I hid in cargo." Scott says. "You should not be here!" Colin fumed. "I just thought of how nervous you sounded when you told us to go to Mom's house and I decided to follow you, so if anything, it's kind of your fault that I'm here, for making me worry about you." Scott says. "What did you say?" Colin says, warning him not to say that again. "I thought this through." Scott explains. "There's no way you thought this through." Colin says, doubtfully. "I did think this through." Scott says, trying to reassure his father. "Dad..." Scott says as he gives him a look. Colin looks at Aaron. "Well, he's already here." Aaron states. Colin sighs and gives in. "Yes!" Scott says silently. The 3 of them walked back to where the rest of them were waiting. "Is it ready?" Aaron asked. Daniel pulls out the Dark Dagger. "It's ready." Daniel states as he puts the blade a centimeter away from Summer's palm. "Are you ready, Summer?" Aaron asked Summer. "Let's do it." Summer says, confidently. Daniel cuts Summer's palm and Summer lets the blood drip into the water. A moment later, a black and red portal appears in the middle of the lake. Aaron and Melody were the first ones to step into the water and walk towards the portal, then everyone else followed. Soon enough they arrived at The Land of Unfinished Business.
