"Come on, Natalie! Luke will be here soon! I still have to wear my dress!" I cried as I moved under Natalie's arms, while she put on my make up.

Things have changed pretty much since the last year. We passed the Sophomore Year, and now, we're done with the Seniors Year. We were in the best time of a student's life. The Prom. The funny part is that Luke asked me out to prom. I told him how silly that was of him. I was his girlfriend after all. He didn't need to ask me. It's not like I was going to go with someone else anyway. I don't talk with anyone else beside Luke and Natalie at school.

I met Natalie at the end of Sophomore Year, we became really close in the last month of that year. Natalie and I started talking to each other since we got chosen by the Art teacher to be a group for a project. She seemed like a really nice girl, so I decided to get to know her better and she knew some things about me. We didn't have much in common, but we were getting along just fine. And that was the start of a new friendship. I really like having her as a friend.

"Stop moaning about that! I'm done anyway, and Luke is not coming any soon. It's 5:15 right now, Luke isn't picking us up before 6. Just shut your mouth." She rolled her eyes. She declared that she was done and I got to see how I looked. It was nicely done. I thanked her and got up to wear my dress. It was a dark pink gold one, hugged my body perfectly and didn't reveal much of it. I have seen Luke's suit, but he didn't let me see how he looked while wearing it, and that was killing me inside. Nat's dress was black. I tried to convince her to change it and choose a brighter color but she refused, saying that black means elegance and royalty. When I realised that there was no way she was changing her mind, I let her be. It was beautiful, I won't deny it, but if I was her, I'd choose a brighter color.

Once we were both wearing our dresses and ready, we went downstairs, where my parents and Chris were united.

For my luck, Chris managed to leave the dorms for 2 days and come just to spend them with me, and get to see me going to prom, saying goodbye to school and welcoming college. He was doing pretty well himself there. He said college is way better than school. Every time he comes up with some sort of news, he makes more excited to start college. Luke and I will be going to the same college. I was so grateful when I knew about it.

"Well well, isn't it my beautiful young sister?" He said as he opened his arms to pull me in in a hug. I smiled, "Your young sister will be joining college soon." He still loved teasing me, and I knew he will never stop. Old habits die hard. "Come on, young ladies, time for pictures!" My mom said with a grin on her face. She left to get the camera. Dad came and placed his hand on my shoulder, smiling. "You look beautiful, my little girl." He said in a low voice. "Thank you, dad." I replied. "I want you to know that your mother and I are really proud of you. You have been working hard and now here you are, going to college, with your brother, and leaving us..." He trailed off, he looked really worried. "Dad, you have to remember that I would never actually leave you. I will come back, and I'll try to call you, and, if I can, I'll visit you. Don't worry. I love you two so much. You supported me since the beginning." I smiled and hugged him. "We love you more, sweetheart." He pulled away, and we glanced at Chris and Natalie. They were in the middle of a conversation. Just when I went to join them, my mom came back with a camera in her hand.

"I found it! Now come on, Alice and Natalie, come stand here so I can take a couple of pictures of you two, looking absolutely amazing in your dresses." She exclaimed. We took some pictures, then the bell rang. It definitely was Luke since it was almost 6. My mom went to open the door. "Luke! You look handsome wearing that suit. Come in. You came just in time, we were taking some pictures." Luke came in smiling, he greeted my parents and Natalie, and gave Chris a bro-hug, then stood in front of me.
