04- A Day Off

~Alice's P.O.V~

I woke up to the sound of my phone alarm. I looked at the clock, it was 8:30. Perfect. It was Saturday, but I always wake up early, even on weekends. I try to finish as much homework as I can. I had my breakfast and didn't wait for Chris to wake up, since he sleeps until the afternoon. He thinks 'weekends = deep sleep, no stress, less homework to do' . I don't agree with him honestly, but I ignore, it's his life after all. Anyway, I finished eating and went up to my room. I got my books out of my bag, I organized my time so I can finish at a specific time.

2 hours passed and I didn't even notice it.. I was about to start doing Math, that was when I received a new message. It was from Luke.

'Hey, if ur up, text me, I wanna tell u 'bout somethin' :) and if ur not, then I can be annoying and wake u up by calling u or texting u a billion of times:3' It said.

'Hi, good thing I'm awake -.- Anyway, what did you want to say?'

'Steph wanted the 3 of us to go somewhere, so I hope ur not busy ^-^'

'I can't, I have to study :/ Maybe another day, you can go without me :)'

'WTF?! You're 'stuDyin'?!?! Plz tell me ur kiddin..'

'No, actually I'm not kidding, I AM studying, why are you so surprised? You know I'm in school, right? :o'

'Oh god.. girl, u should have some fun! Let's go out, c'mon think of it as a day off. It's Saturday! You can study later!'

I actually thought about it, every weekend of a school year is spent at home studying. Maybe I really should go out and have some fun, I deserve it, right? And it's just one Saturday, not a big deal.

'I'm in, but where are we going?' I finally replied.

'Think of something with me'

'Oh! I know! How about we go to the mall? :D'

'Okay, good idea :) I'll pick u up in 1 hour, be ready!'

'Ok, see you later'.

I got up quickly, and opened my closet, I stood there for a good 5 minutes just thinking of what to wear. Girls' problem. I then decided to wear a simple white dress with a denim jacket and brown boots. I took a quick shower, blow dried my hair, and wore my clothes.

When I was making sure I had everything im my bag, my brother and mumbled a 'Morning' in his morning voice. He stopped and looked at me shocked.

"You're going out?" He asked.

"Yupp, Steph, Luke and I are going to the mall." I grinned.

"I thought 'Saturdays are for studying'." He raised an eyebrow while mimicking my voice.

"Well, I decided to take a break, and it's only this Saturday, and I do deserve a day off, don't I?" I asked rhetorically.

"Wait, hold on a minute. Did you say you're going with Steph and LUKE?! You're hanging out together now? Woww, that's a lot of progress, sis." He giggled.

"You're crazy.." I told him.

And with that, I went to the living room, and took a glance at the clock, and it was 11:15. Yeah, I have time. There was nothing to watch, and a thought came to my mind.. Since when does Steph ask someone if they wanna hang out, and not me first? It's not like she has to ask me, but she always does.. I decided to forget it, it's not a big deal.

The doorbell rang, it's Stephany.

"I'll get it!" I yelled to Chris, it's not like he was gonna open it anyway.

Steph hugged me once I opened the door. I looked at the red Porsche, and saw Luke waiting in the driver seat, and looking outside of the window. When he turned his head and saw me, he mouthed a 'hi' then turned his head quickly.

"I'm going now Chris, bye!" I yelled before Steph got in the seat next to Luke's and me in the back.

It didn't take us a lot of time to get there, we hopped out of the car, and Steph and I went directly to our favourite shop. Mango. They had the best clothes ever! We started searching for something casual. To my luck, I found a cute black top with a black jacket and a dark gray pants. Awesome. Luke was really annoyed and kept groaning every once in a while, he said that 'we're not here for shopping' .

"Okay, seriously, next time we hang out together, "I" pick the place and YOU don't get to know what it is until we arrive there." He crossed his arms.

"Aww, you can't blame us, we're girls. We LOVE shopping! Besides this is 'Mango'. The most amazing clothes store in the WHOLE. WORD!" I explained.

"Listen, how about I pick you something, and you tell me if I have a good sense in fashion? Which I'm pretty sure I do." I suggested, he nodded.

I started searching for something that I thought he would like it, and since I'm a girl, I always look at a boy's style, so I know what to pick.

I found a white shirt with a denim jacket, black pants and a black beanie.

He's gonna Love it! I handed him them and told him to try them on.

He came out of the changing room after like 5 minutes smiling. I knew it.

"So..? What do you think?" I asked.

"I must say. Impressive! I really love it!" He admitted. I mentally smirked and high-fived myself saying 'Good Job'.

Steph got this adorable red dress. She loves being all girly-girl, you know, skirts and dresses.. Luke suggested to go to Starbucks, which we all nodded in agreement of course, and went there. Luke decided to order for us. He came back soon holding 2 'hot chocolate' and 1 'strawberry smoothie'. We took the Hot Chocolate and I talked to him out of nowhere.

"You drink this?! How can you even like it? " I told him.

"It's 'Strawberry Smoothie' and it's delicious. And by the way, look who's talking! The one drinking 'Hot CHOCOLATE'!"

"Wait, you hate chocolate?!" Steph asked and he nodded.

I looked at Steph with wide eyes and she was giving me the same look. He cleared his throat.

"How can a 'human' HATE chocolate?! Is this even legal? You can't just hate it, it's sweet and delicious and you just melt while eating it.. And you go to your own world which is full of rainbows and unicorns an-..." Steph was interrupted by me.

"Okay Steph! He got the idea!" I said.

He was just watching us amused while drinking from his smoothie. When we were done, we entered some stores and bought a 'few' things as Steph puts it. Luke took a glance at his watch. It was already 5:43. Woww, we spent the whole day shopping.. It took us like 15 minutes to convince Steph to go home since it was late, and when we found it was no use talking to her, Luke literally pulled her out of the mall and placed her in the car and she was pouting. Yupp, she's 'shopaholic'.

I swear I noticed Luke taking a few glances at me while driving through the mirror, but I was pretending like I didn't see him.

We were next to my house in a couple of minutes.

"Thank you guys, that was fun, really. And thanks Luke for driving me home. See ya guys."

"You're welcome Al, see ya."

I went up to my room, once I opened the door and took off my shoes. I jumped on my bad and just laid there. My feet were killing me! I looked at my desk which had a lot of book on it. Woww.. Tomorrow is gonna be a hard day, I'll probably wake up a little bit earlier. I changed into my pajama, and fell asleep quickly..
