"Who's the monster now?' You floated above the others, a cruel little grin on your face. Your eyes were alight with a fury of sorts, something you were aware of. You scanned the faces of the crowd. You had enough with them. After the androids had been announced, your cover had been blown. You were an oddity, and the people of your town knew it. They disowned you, attempted to chase you out of your own house. But, you weren't too fond of that.

That brought you to now, where you hovered above their heads. They couldn't reach you, but some idiot tried to shoot you. You caught the bullet that was shot at you, and that's when everything went badly. You threw the piece of metal to the ground, chortling. "You had no reason to be scared of me! Just because I was different, stronger than all of you. Pitiful. Those androids would treat me better than you would. And I'm not even one of them." With that, you turned and left.

After a while of traveling, you found yourself on a desolate road. The road was long, but narrow. You walked down the side of it, seeing a dilapidated shop. Your stomach quietly growled, and you decided to get something to eat. You made your way to the store, each step brisk. As you walked in, a car pulled in behind you. You didn't turn, not yet.

You heard two people get out of the car, and slam the doors behind them. Very unnecessary, you'd say. You began to pick out some food, specifically some of your favorite foods and drinks. As you reached for something that caught your eye, someone else was reaching for it as well. You turned to the owner of the hand, seeing a man with black hair and bright blue eyes. You shrugged, shooting him a grin. 'He looks incredibly familiar.' He stared back at you for a moment. He then grabbed what he was reaching for, and walked to a blonde, who looked quite similar to him. They had the same eyes, you noticed.

You were in the back of the store, and began to make your way towards the front. But, the two beat you up there. "Good afternoon," the black haired man spoke. You listened in, watching the interaction. The woman was leaning against the counter, arms crossed.

The cashier's eyes practically bugged out of his head. He recoiled visibly. "You- You- You're the-" he stammered, "The androids! Spare me, please!" Oh. That's why they looked familiar.

The blonde rolled her eyes, her long eyelashes settling on her cheeks as she closed her eyes for a second. "See, 17, this is why this was a bad idea."

The one now known as 17 chuckled. "Oh come on, not my fault that they always act like this. We just wanted some snacks." He scooped up the items he had laid out on the counter, and shrugged. He went to begin towards the door, but his sister stopped him. "What's up, 18?" He asked, as he looked around.

18's icy gaze was on you, and you stared back. You weren't scared of them, you couldn't bring yourself to be. Soon, 17 was also looking at you. "What, him? What about him?"

"He's hovering." She simply answered. You looked down, and saw, oh, you were. You grinned a little. "Are you here to try to play hero?" She asked, coolly.

"Nope, just wanted some snacks, too." You showed her the food and drink in your grasp. She stated at you skeptically.

"How come you didn't run away when you saw the big bad androids?" 17's voice was mocking as he spoke about him and his sister, finding the idea of them being scary apparently funny.

"I honestly just don't care anymore. I'm already considered defective, no point in being scared of shit like this anymore." You then began towards the counter, and 18 got a little more hostile. After watching you float all the way to the counter, and leave your back to them, she relaxed a bit.
