You had felt seen. Exposed. All day, and oftentimes at night. But you didn't understand why. You were a generally ordinary woman, who enjoyed her hobbies and did her job. Today was yet another ordinary day, where you got home and practically crashed onto the couch. You sighed, and raked your fingers through your easiest to reach locks of hair.

You then felt that eerie sense of being watched. You had been feeling it since you met a peculiar man a few weeks ago. He was tallish, with very nice posture and a kind face. He regarded you kindly, and seemed to struggle to talk to you for a moment when he first saw you. He had laughed this apprehension off, though. 'I wonder how he's doing. I've seen him around town a few times after that. He doesn't seem unwell.' You then shrugged off your own concern, taking off your shoes and setting them beside the couch.

You pulled out your phone, messing with it for only a few minutes before you decided that you were hungry. You got up, and went to your fridge. It was quite barren, and you cringed. You closed it, and sighed loudly. You'd have to make a little trip to the store. If you didn't do it now, you'd have to do it later, and so now was the best choice.

You grabbed a hoodie and your most comfortable pair of sneakers. After obtaining them, you snatched your keys off of the coffee table and out of the house you went. You could feel your skin crawl slightly, and you gripped onto your largest key like it was a blade. 'I can't just be paranoid...'

You walked quickly, straight to your car. There was this lingering golden glow from behind you, but when you turned to look, all you felt was a gust of air straight to the face. Following it, rain. You scrambled to get into the car as it began to pour. You turned on the car, and you were out of there.

------

You were going through the shelves, and putting things into the cart you were pushing around. You then bumped into that man from a few days ago. "Oh! I'm sorry!" You quickly threw this out, because you hadn't been looking and bumped him with the cart. He hadn't moved from the bump, but he did take a step away, just so you had space in front of the cart again.

"It's okay, it happens." He gave you a soft smile. You took a moment, before saying what was on your mind.

"I bumped into you a couple weeks ago, too! And I've been seeing you around." You weren't sure what you were expecting to get from that, honestly. He turned to face you better, holding a little snack box in his hands. He didn't seem to skip a beat on the response.

He spoke in a chipper tone, showing himself to be a polite but friendly man. "Oh! It appears so. I do remember you. How are you?" He tilted his head slightly, and you watched as a small bit of hair moved with his head.

"I'm okay. I wish it wasn't raining right now. I gotta restock on groceries, and then make dinner when I get home." Your answer was short and sweet, and you didn't notice the way his face lit up as you spoke. You held out your hand for a handshake. "My name is (Y/n). What's yours?"

He shifted the box into his other hand, and took the offer for the handshake. He gave two somewhat firm shakes as he smiled. "My name is Gohan. It's nice to formally meet you, (Y/n)." He said your name with both clarity and eloquence, and released your hand. He looked into your cart.

"Would you like to talk while you shop? I have no where to be." And he truly didn't. If truth be told, he was only here because he knew you would be. And getting to meet you, talk to you so casually? It made his heart soar. He had a little crush. Just the teensiest one. So, he'd been shadowing you throughout your days, just to try to get to know you. He was a little too shy to make the first move at the moment. But now that you spoke to him, he thought you were welcoming and kind, and was more than happy to try his luck.

You ended up taking his offer. And as you walked with him, you noticed that the feeling of being watched disappeared. It was nice, to be liberated from such a sensation. You could feel your posture untensing already. He was nice to talk to, and was kind enough to ask non-prying questions.

The way that he seemed to connect with you, it felt like you had known him for longer than you had. And he noticed that. He was quite happy with the progress. He reached things off of high shelves for you as you spoke, and asked about what sort of things you normally cooked. He was trying to seem only surface level interested, because he really truly didn't want to seem like a creep. He wasn't a creep. His mother had raised him better than that.

He offered to give you some money for the food, but you refused it. You offered to exchange numbers, and he accepted that after a moment of contemplation. He seemed like a civil man, and you liked the fact that he presented that way. Plus with the fact that you didn't feel watched with him around, it was like a large relief off your shoulders.

You two parted, and Gohan watched as you left, waving as he went to pay for his box of snacks. 'I did it! She gave me her number! Oh, I'm so happy. Maybe now I'll actually stand a chance. I can protect her, too. She doesn't seem to notice how many guys checked her out just when we were in here. Disgusting. Anyway,' Gohan began to drift off farther into thought as he paid for his snacks and walked out. It was still pouring. He rose off the ground, and shot off. He flew by your house, to ensure you had returned home safely. Seeing your car parked out front, and your livingroom lights on, he nodded and off he went. He was so excited to begin texting you and getting to know you better. And he would do everything to ensure that you remained comfortable around him.

'I know that I'm gonna be able to make her happy. I know it. It's going to be a dream. An eternal dream. Because she won't want to leave once she really gets to know me, I know it.' And with that thought, he rocketed off to his own home.
