You watched the man in front of you stutter and stumble over his words. You've known Trunks for years, and for the past two, things have been a bit odd. He's normally a composed guy, but when he's around you, it falls apart. You saw it. Today, he seemed to have something he wanted to say, but couldn't get it out. You watched his face, as his cheeks blossomed a bright red.

You chuckled. "Trunks, whatever it is, I'm sure it's not that bad." He slumped a little, his head bowing down. He appeared to be trying to keep you from looking at his face.

"But (Y/n)! I could sound stupid, or uncool, or just-" he began, sounding increasingly nervous with each word. You put a finger over his lips, causing his head to shoot back up. He stared at you with wide eyes, and you took his hands into your own.

You gave him a small smile. "Listen, we've been friends for ages. Don't worry about anything with me, okay? I'm always gonna be happy to hear it, and I'll never make fun of you." You let go of his hands, and gave him more of a smile now.

Trunks could feel his heart beating through his chest. His hands tingled from where you had touched him. He let out a quiet sigh, releasing the tension that he had from before. "Yeah, you're right. Thank you for always being here. You're my world." He gave you a gentle smile, and looked away bashfully after a moment of eye contact.

You found him to be absolutely precious, especially at times like this. You gestured to your house. "C'mon. Let's stop standing in the driveway, and actually go inside." You laughed a little at your own words, and you started walking.

Trunks followed behind you, looking at you with fondness. He loved every moment he got to spend with you, you were his world. You were so incredible to him, and he never ever wanted to take you for granted. He's seen your friends in the past do so. And that? That's not acceptable.

Sure, sure, you still had other friends, but you hung out most often with him. He made sure of it. It's not that he stalked you, either. Not in terms of physically following you, anyway. He was a smart man, he knew how to shadow you without having to actually be there. He knew many people that he asked to keep vague tabs on you, and you wore an accessory he gave you that held microscopic tracking technology. Not that you knew that. Even if you did, he only gave it to you so that he would know where you were in case of a bad situation. He was constantly fretting over your safety, honestly. He trusted you to not replace him as your best friend, wholeheartedly.

Besides this, Trunks found himself absolutely, madly in love with you. He was willing to call himself a little crazed, and tried to step back. But, sometimes, he found himself wanting to kill someone for so much as giving you a slight attitude. He mentioned it to his father once, who chalked it up to his saiyan blood. Trunks had yet to truly give in to the urge, much to his own surprise. He held onto that fact proudly.

While Trunks' mind was wandering, and he followed you without any thought, you let him into your house, and dragged him to the kitchen. He stood there while you began making snacks for you two to share, and you kept looking back at him. He was dazed, obviously. You chuckled at him, turning back to the food.

You found yourself quite content right now. You hadn't told Trunks yet, but today hadn't been the best for you. Someone had been trying to get with you, and didn't take no very well. You ended up ditching the public for the day, and going to see your best friend. Now, here you were. You dragged him to your house, and he told you he needed to tell you something, and couldn't even get it out. So, you would wait for him to talk about that. Now, you felt the urge to talk about what happened with you earlier. You wanted some comfort, honestly, and would be happy with just a hug if anything.
