Anurag's POV

I was taking my usual stroll along the serene sea beach, the gentle waves lapping at the shore and the salty air caressing my face.

I wandered aimlessly, my eyes were suddenly drawn to a captivating sight - a young woman, giggling and gracefully collecting seashells, her long, dark hair cascading down her back.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

She was absolutely stunning, her features so delicate and enchanting. I was completely mesmerized, unable to tear my gaze away from her.

Before I could even gather the courage to approach her, she turned and vanished, disappearing into the crowd.

I stood there, my heart pounding, feeling a strange sense of longing and regret.

I had to find her again, to see her face once more. I scoured the beach, searching high and low, but she had vanished without a trace.

Just as I was about to give up, my father summoned me to attend an important business deal in Kashmir.

Reluctantly, I left the beach, the image of the beautiful girl etched in my mind.

When I returned from Kashmir, I was determined to find her.

And to my utter shock and disbelief, I did - but she was now the wife of my greatest enemy, Kaidan,a ruthless and cruel man who took pleasure in hurting women.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

How could she be happy with this monster?

The sinking feeling in my chest was overwhelming, and I wondered if I would ever have the chance to speak to her, to understand her decision.

Sukesh,my secretary informed me that,"Mr. Dilip is here and wants to see you."

I tsked in annoyance, pasting on a fake smile as I strode to the waiting area.

"Hi Dad," I greeted him, but he didn't return my hug.

Instead, he fixed me with a stern glare, demanding to know what I was doing with the company.

I merely rolled my eyes. Same old song and dance.

I took the seat beside my dad, the weight of the company he had entrusted me with weighing heavily on my shoulders.

"You handed me the company. You should trust me," I pleaded, hoping to finally prove my worth.

But my dad simply barked at me, "You've been saying that for the last two years. That I should trust you. Is it really worth it?" His words stung, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes in frustration.

Dad leaned back with a sigh, "You should learn something from Kaidan.... he was given a seed, and he transformed it into a thriving tree with abundant fruits!"

Hearing that dog's name only fueled my fury. I clenched my jaw, making it clear that I am not him and that I frankly don't give a damn about him.

Just then, the secretary entered the room, her thighs catching my eye as she handed us our coffee.

I couldn't help but smirk at her, basking in her smile.

But this didn't escape my dad's watchful gaze, and he quickly reprimanded me, saying,"Your unbridled lifestyle was the main reason you are losing."

I couldn't help but feel frustrated and misunderstood.

Why couldn't my dad see that I was my own person, with my own strengths and weaknesses? All he ever did was compare me to Kaid, and it was driving me insane.
