The meeting was in full swing, but Kaidan's mind was elsewhere.
His eyes were fixed on the smart board, but his heart was miles away.
Ranveer, ever the observant one, noticed his distant gaze and decided to stir the pot.
"Bastard seems to be distressed," he taunted, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Are you on your periods?"
Hebrushed back his long hair, the tattoo on his bicep bulging as he rolled his shoulders.
"What's a mangalik thing?" he blurted, catching Ranveer off guard.
He scrunched his face in confusion. "Why do you want to know?"
"Swarnalekha is all of a sudden nervous about it, and she's trying to distance herself from me. Which I don't like."
"I don't know, but I think it's some kind of astrology thing."
He ran a hand through his hair, his features etched with concern.
"And I'm fed up with this because she looks stressed, saying she'll bring danger to my life."
Ranveer listened intently as he shared his concerns about his wife's sudden change in behavior.
"This is a very serious matter," he said, his brows furrowed. "But you have to understand, it's not your life that's in danger - it's hers." He taunted.
His expression darkened, his fangs threatening to emerge.
Sensing the tension, Ranveer quickly added, "Okay, okay, tell me more. What made Swarnalekha think she's a mangalik all of a sudden? You two have been married for quite some time, and this is the first time she's bringing this up?"
"I don't know, man. I just came back from work yesterday, and ever since then, she's been acting so strange. She's convinced she's a mangalik and that I need to keep bodyguards around her to stop her from running away."
His face flushed with emotion as he continued, "And you know, she's not even responding to my, uh, advances anymore. I'm a man with needs, and I'm starting to lose control."
Ranveer placed his hand firmly on his shoulder, his expression serious.
"First, you need to go and ask her who informed her she is mangalik," he said. "Then, we'll explore the solution. Personally, I don't put much stock in these things, but for her peace of mind, we can consult another astrologer who might have a solution. I'll also talk to Sitara."
He nodded, his mind racing.
When he returned home, she was not in the room.
He was changing, a maid appeared. "Master, I have something to say," she began.
He turned to face her, raising an eyebrow. "What is it?"
The maid hesitated, then continued, "Master, when you left for work yesterday, I saw Swarna madam talking with that new driver. From their body language, they seemed to know each other well."
He felt a knot form in the pit of his stomach as the maid went on.
"I overheard their conversation, and I learned that he was madam's former fiancé."
His expression hardened, his gaze piercing the maid.He dismissed the maid, his mind reeling with a single thought.
He couldn't shake the nagging suspicion that something was going on.
Swarna was seated in for evening prayer, her hands clasped together. A lone tear rolling down her cheek.
Suddenly, she felt two familiar hands wrap around her.She pushed him away, glaring at him.
