"Want to learn some constellations? I could help you." Tomura offered he elbowed Dabi in the side gently to get his attention. Dabi opened one eye to look at his friend. "Nah, I'm good maybe another time." Dabi refused. "Okay." Tomura said Dabi couldn't tell what he was feeling by the tone of his voice. Dabi swore he almost sounded disappointed?
"Ugh, fine." Dabi said giving in it was worth it when he saw Tomura's face light up. "Here let me show you." Tomura said he grabbed Dabi's hand in his own. Dabi jumped when the other man's hand first touched his he moved it back. Tomura gave him a questioning look he hesitantly put his back in Tomura's hand.
Tomura scooted over so that their knees were touching. Dabi usually would burn anyone that got this close to him. He found he didn't mind though. "That their is the big Dipper." Tomura said he lead Dabi's hand with his own to trace the constellation out so Dabi could see them.
"Yeah, I see it!" Dabi said excitedly. Tomura chuckled Dabi felt his smile grow at the sound. He liked it when Tomura laughed especially when he was the cause of it. Tomura showed him several other constellations the night was even clear enough for him to see a few planets.
"I thought those were stars." Dabi said amazed Tomura had just pointed out Venus to him. "Nope a lot of people do but their planets." Tomura said his head was now lying on Dabi's chest. If was cold out now a wind blew constantly. Tomura getting cold easily had unintentionally gotten closer to Dabi.
Dabi didn't mind he always got treated like a human heater when ever he was around cats. The thought of comparing Tomura to a cat made Dabi laugh. "What?" Tomura asked confused he lifted his head of Dabi's chest. "Oh, nothing." Dabi said amused he tried not to smile but failed miserably.
Tomura grumbled but dropped it not wanting to have to bug Dabi for whatever he found so amusing. He laid his head back down on Dabi's chest he sighed contently he wasn't leaving unless the weather got miraculously warmer. Tomura hated the cold and he was comfortable. He supposed it was a good idea to have a walking bonfire as a friend.
"We should head back inside." Dabi said they both had been out here for a while and he was starting to get tired. Tomura didn't respond confused Dabi looked at him. Tomura had fallen asleep on him Dabi found this amusing. Dabi smiled he shook his head fondly.
Dabi knew he should wake the man up so they could both sleep inside. He didn't want to though Tomura looked so peaceful. The only other time he ever did was when they went out horse riding. Which they didn't get to do nearly enough in Tomura's opinion. Dabi always got to hear him rant about it. Even if Dabi wasn't the best with riding horses he still agreed.
Dabi closed his eyes he decided he wasn't going to be the one who interrupted Tomura's sleep. Besides, it wasn't like Dabi cared if he slept outside in the first place. The cool air felt amazing against his body. He had slept outside many times to escape from his father's palace for a while.
Dabi somehow managed to get his waist coat off without waking Tomura. He threw it over his friend Tomura was sensitive to the cold unlike Dabi. Dabi felt his eyelids growing heavy he leaned back in the grass letting them close. Dabi let himself succumb to sleep.
Dabi awoke to sunlight hitting him directly in the face. He groaned throwing a arm over his eyes to try to block it out. It didn't help much so he sat up. Dabi looked around drowsy he rubbed at his eyes to get the sleep out of them. He saw Tomura was already awake he was staring off into the garden.
Dabi knew something was missing whenever he had woken up. Tomura must have moved away from Dabi before he woke up. Dabi yawned and stretched he was careful not to pull any of his staples. "What's got your attention?" Dabi asked curiously.
Tomura jumped he was so in his own thoughts he hadn't noticed Dabi waking up. "Oh, uh nothing to important." Tomura said he lied. Dabi having known him for a while knew he was lying instantly. "Come on please tell me?" Dabi asked.
"No." Tomura said he ignored Dabi's glare. "Come on what could be so bad you wouldn't share it with your best buddy?" Dabi asked he was going to annoy Tomura until he told him what he was thinking about that he couldn't know for whatever reason.
"Fine just shut up and I'm not your best buddy." Tomura snapped he had his patience destroyed by Dabi. Not that Tomura had a lot of that in the first place. "Aww, I'm not? I thought we were friends now creep." Dabi said he put a hand over his head like he'd been hurt.
Tomura rolled his eyes but a small smile appeared on his face showing he wasn't that annoyed with Dabi. "That's Spinner's title." Tomura said no one could ever surpass Spinner as his number one friend. "Then what are we?" Dabi asked confused. They liked each other sure but Dabi didn't know what Tomura considered them to be.
"I don't know I guess we could technically call ourselves friends? Husbands if we wanted to go far." Tomura said shrugging. Dabi thought he'd be repulsed by the last one but he found he wasn't. "How about friends who also happened to have forcefully been married?" Dabi asked trying not to laugh.
"It sounds terrible but sure." Tomura said trying not to laugh just like Dabi. It didn't work for long as they both burst out laughing. "Let's head back?" Dabi asked. "Yeah." Tomura agreed he gave Dabi back his waist coat. "Thanks." Dabi said as he put it on. He took Tomura's hand as they both walked back to the palace together.
