Chapter 27 Rightful Heir

The guards started shouting as soon as they saw Tomura and Dabi. Dabi dismounted his horse he helped Tomura down. The guards opened the door they were armed with swords and whatever quirks they had. Dabi sent a blast of fire there way most of them scattered.

One of them though stood where they were. Dabi's eyes widened they were completely fine from the blast. "Of course your fire proof." Dabi said annoyed. Dabi was surprised as they punched him hard in the stomach sending him flying back a few feet then he fell on the ground hard.

"Ouch I'm okay go on without me." Dabi said waving his hand dismissively to Tomura. Dabi stood up he winced as he felt his shoulder pop weirdly. "Are you sure? Didn't that guy just hurt you?" Tomura asked worriedly. "Go I've got this." Dabi said self confidently smirking.

The last view Tomura had of him was his hand lighting on fire the blue illuminating his face making it appear blue as well. Dabi looked creepy to most people when he did that. Tomura was used to it so it didn't bother him. Tomura ran up to the huge wooden doors that kept him from entering the palace.

It took several strong people to open it. Tomura decided it he lived long enough he could replace it later. Tomura put all five of his fingers down on the wood it started cracking under his hand. The cracks spread quickly along the wood. Tomura winced when the wood splintered it made a loud noise.

The door came down crashing all around him in piles of wood. Tomura covered his head it was a good idea because a second later a piece of wood hit his arm. Tomura looked at the damage before running down the hallway looking for the throne room. That was where All For One spent most of his time if not there than in his study.

Tomura was about to reach the door when suddenly it felt like the floor fell out right from under him. Tomura didn't scream he knew what was happening instantly. So, he let himself be engulfed by the purple mist. Tomura blinked at the change in lighting taking in his surroundings.

He was in his room Kurogiri was standing above him glaring. "Where have you been?" Kurogiri asked he looked furious. He may be angry but Tomura was still not scared of him. He planned to fight All For One. "Out." Tomura said he didn't want to talk to Kurogiri right now. He had a important thing to do.

"I have important things to do if you'll excuse me." Tomura said shoving past Kurogiri. He reached for the doorknob he didn't feel the metal he was expecting to instead he felt mist. "Really?" Tomura asked unamused as he looked from his hand in the portal to Kurogiri.

"I can't have you leaving." Kurogiri said he made the portal go away but he watched Tomura like a hawk. "This is serious! I came back because I heard All For One is declaring war on the light kingdom!" Tomura said he punched the wall in agitation.

Tomura instantly regretted it he didn't let the pain show on his face. "I know that is what his majesty has decided." Kurogiri said his tone was monotone now. "You're going to sit back and obey him?" Tomura asked shocked. "I am programmed to obey him aren't I?" Kurogiri asked.

"No you were programmed to protect me. Which means you listen to me. Now I'm going to ask you which side are you on?" Tomura asked he glared at Kurogiri. The man sighed he looked worn out he probably was. "I'll go with you Tomura Shigaraki. But if something happens to you I'll never forgive myself." Kurogiri said he closed his eyes he appeared to be thinking.

"Do me a favor?" Tomura asked he smiled slightly when Kurogiri pulled him into a hug. "Anything what is it?" Kurogiri asked. "Help Dabi he's going to get his ass kicked with all those guards." Tomura said he hoped he didn't find Dabi dead by the time he returned if he did that is.

"Of course. You have grown up a lot Tomura." Kurogiri said before he teleported away. Tomura smiled as he looked at the spot he had just been. Tomura walked out of the room with a determined gaze. He threw open the doors to the throne room. His arm protested but he ignored it.

All For One was there sitting on his throne like usual. "Time to die old bastard." Tomura snarled as he glared at the man. All For One's health had certainty deteriorated. He stood up but he had to lean against the throne. "I knew you were back. I heard you going to challenge me?" All For One asked he laughed.

"You don't have a chance. Everyone that has helped you shall die. I just can't believe you got my nomu to follow you. I'll have to have him reprogrammed after this." All For One said he loomed large over Tomura. Tomura swallowed nervously he started shaking his eyes widened.

"What a pathetic sight. I knew I should have picked a different heir." All For One said disgusted as he looked at Tomura's trembling form. "I'll find another one I've got plenty of time to live." All For One said he advanced towards Tomura.

Tomura snapped out of his fear he glared the man down. It all happened in a few seconds. This was the day that forever changed Tomura's life. It was by far the most important battle he fought. He ran directly at All For One his hand outstretched. All For One was fast but Tomura was faster.

He should have felt some sort of sick glee as the man's face crumbled beneath his hand. Tomura felt nothing at the moment as he stared at the blood on his hand. Once it finally set in he just stared down at the unmoving body of what used to be the world's most powerful man. Tomura was the rightful heir. He grinned. This was his kingdom now.

Sorry to interrupt the moment but I need a name for a Shigadabi child. I've finally decided to give them one despite me trying to in the past it's never been in any of my stories. I haven't chosen a gender yet so make, female, and gender neutral names are fine. It does have to be Japanese since all the characters in the show have Japanese names.
